Beamer pricing, the changelog meter and the feedback add on

Beamer sells two things on one pricing page, and almost every comparison of them prices the wrong one.

The plans on that page are changelog plans, metered by monthly active users. The feedback board, which is the part anybody comparing them against a feature voting tool actually wants, is an add on with its own price and its own free tier.

Getting those two apart is the whole job, so this page does that before it does anything else.

What does Beamer cost?

Five changelog tiers, and the toggle above the cards arrives on annual billing.

The Beamer pricing page read 2026-09-14, Starter at forty nine dollars a month, Pro at ninety nine and Scale at two hundred and forty nine, each with its monthly active visitor allowance

Free $0 $0 1,000

Scale $299/mo $249/mo 50,000

The free tier is real. One thousand monthly active users, one teammate, unlimited changelog posts, one language, and a Beamer watermark on the widget. Every paid plan carries no watermark at all and unlimited teammates, which is unusual in this category and worth knowing.

The product is now branded Beamer by Userflow, and the pricing page cross sells Userflow's onboarding product underneath the cards.

The flat price is the whole of the comparison, and a 14 day trial with a card at signup is how you find out whether it holds for your numbers.

Does Beamer have a free plan?

Yes, and it is unusually generous for this category. Their pricing page read on 14 September 2026 gives a thousand monthly active users and one teammate at no cost, so the ceiling is your audience rather than the feature list.

What this costs: two plans and a one off.

Does the annual toggle really save twenty percent?

No. It saves just under seventeen, on all three paid tiers, and the arithmetic is on their own page.

The note beside the toggle reads save twenty percent on annual. The pairs printed under it are 59 and 49, 119 and 99, and 299 and 249. Those work out at 16.9, 16.8 and 16.7 percent.

That is a rounded marketing figure rather than anything worse, and we are not going to dress it up as more than it is.

We are printing it because a reader building a twelve month budget from the badge rather than from the numbers will be about twenty two dollars a year out on Starter and about a hundred and eighteen out on Scale, and no other comparison of them we could find checks it.

What does the feedback board actually cost?

Ninety nine dollars a month on yearly billing, one hundred and nineteen monthly, on top of whichever changelog plan you are on. There is also a free feedback tier.

Feedback tier Paid monthly Paid yearly
Free $0 $0
Pro $119/mo $99/mo
  • Free gives you public ideas, comments, portal and roadmap.
  • Pro gives you the same, plus private everything.

The free feedback tier is not a demo. It carries public ideas, public comments, unlimited votes, a public ideas portal, a public roadmap, status tracking, the in app widget, a standalone page and standard statuses.

That is a working public feature board at no extra cost on top of a changelog plan you were buying anyway.

Feedback Pro adds private ideas, comments, portal and roadmap, a one click feedback button, custom statuses and categories, content moderation, user segmentation, appearance customisation, a priority score, internal notes, and integration, API and webhook access. So privacy, moderation and the API are the paid half, which is a defensible split.

Their net promoter score product is a second add on at the same ninety nine, with its own free tier of up to five hundred surveys a month.

Does the meter count your voters?

No, and this is the correction this page exists for.

The monthly active user allowance belongs to the changelog widget. It counts the people who open your product and see a release note. On both feedback tiers, free and Pro, the votes row reads unlimited.

That matters because the honest version of the sentence is narrower than the one usually written. Beamer's bill grows with how many people use your product, not with how many people vote on your board.

Two of the twenty one tools we priced meter voters directly and Beamer is not one of them, even though it is metered.

Whether that is better or worse depends entirely on your shape. If forty people out of ten thousand monthly users ever comment on a release, a voter meter counts forty and Beamer counts ten thousand.

If you are a small product with a busy board, the reverse is true and Beamer is the cheaper of the two models.

Ours has no meter of any kind. The bill is the same whether a hundred people or a hundred thousand open your app, because nothing in our billing reads a usage number.

14 days, a card at signup, then $9 or $39 a month.

The public changelog, one card per release.

What does ten thousand monthly users cost a year?

$1,188, and the number of colleagues reading the board is not part of it.

Pro is $119 a month or $99 billed yearly and carries 10,000 monthly active users, which is $1,188 a year. Starter is $59 or $49 with 5,000, being $588. Scale is $299 or $249 with 50,000, being $2,988.

Every paid plan carries unlimited teammates, so the whole bill is decided by how many people open your product in a month rather than by how many of them say anything. That is the part worth sitting with, because most products have far more of the first than the second.

So which one do you want?

Them if the changelog is the point, us if the ranking is.

Take Beamer if you want release notes appearing inside your product, seen by everybody who opens it, with a feedback board attached for nothing on top. That is a genuinely good offer.

We do ship a changelog widget you can embed on your own page, but it draws a dated timeline where you place it rather than pushing an unread badge at everybody who opens your app, and for reach those two are not the same thing.

Take us if what you need is the list of requests ordered by what the people asking actually pay you.

Every vote carries the multiplier of the tier its customer sits in, and you fill those tiers from Stripe, so the request from your largest account does not get buried under a crowd of trials. Beamer's board sorts by votes and by a priority score you set by hand.

Ours is nine dollars a month for one project with a board, a roadmap and a changelog of our own, and a card is required for the fourteen day trial.

The product comparison rather than the price one is here. Every figure above was read on their own pricing page on the date at the top of this page, in both positions of the billing toggle, and on both of the two comparison tables they publish.
