Featurebase charges by seat, which means by colleague rather than by customer, and their end users are uncapped on every plan including the free one.
If you have read two comparisons of them and seen two different prices, both were probably right. There is a switch on their page that decides it, and it is easy to miss for a reason worth explaining before the numbers.
What does featurebase cost?
Four plans, and each price has two values depending on one control.
| Plan | Paid yearly | Paid monthly | For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | Free | Free | Individuals getting started |
| Growth | $29/seat/mo | $37/seat/mo | Fast growing startups, in their words |
| Professional | $59/seat/mo | $75/seat/mo | Scaling and multi team organisations |
| Enterprise | $99/seat/mo | $129/seat/mo | Large organisations |
The control is a small switch inside each plan card, sitting under the price and reading billed yearly. It arrives switched on, so the first number you see is the annual rate. There is no separate monthly page and no toggle above the cards where you would expect one.
We read that switch as a label twice before photographing the same card in both positions, and we are saying so because a comparison that quotes only one of these numbers is quoting a page it did not finish reading. Both are real. Which one applies to you depends on how you pay.
There is a second switch above the cards, reading show features for, offering helpdesk or feedback. That one changes the feature lists and leaves the price alone. Every feedback plan card carries a line saying it includes helpdesk, and their own summary is that all core modules come in one subscription.
Nothing above moves with your user count here, and a trial is 14 days and a card, then $9 or $39 a month.
Does Featurebase have a free plan?
Yes, one seat, on their pricing page read on 14 September 2026. The wall is the second colleague rather than the number of people using the board.
What do you get for free?
More than we give you, because we have no free plan at all.
Their free tier carries one seat, one feedback board, one roadmap, a public portal, feedback loop emails, voting on behalf of a customer, and uncapped end users and feedback. That is a working public feedback board for one person at no cost, forever, and it is a genuinely good offer.
We charge nine dollars from the first day. If your budget today is zero, they will take you and we will not, and we say the same on the comparison page rather than only admitting it here.
Where does the price actually come from?
Seats, which are your colleagues. Not your customers, and not the number of people voting.
End users are uncapped on every plan, so a board with ten thousand people on it costs what a board with ten costs.
That puts Featurebase in the majority of this category and in the better half of it. Two of the twenty one tools we priced charge for participation and Featurebase is not one of them.
What does grow is boards and roadmaps. One of each on Free, five each on Growth, ten each on Professional, and uncapped on Enterprise. If you run several products, that ladder is the thing to check before the seat price.
Does featurebase weight votes by revenue?
Yes, from twenty nine dollars a seat on Growth, and this is the section the page exists for.
Their Growth plan lists prioritize by revenue alongside custom domains, user data syncing and automatic user authentication. So the feature that brought most people to this page is on their cheapest paid plan rather than behind an enterprise call, and anybody telling you weighting by revenue is rare is selling you something.
Ours is nine dollars for the whole product with weighting included, with no seat count and no second colleague to buy. Theirs is twenty nine dollars a seat with a great deal more product around it, including a helpdesk in the same subscription.
The honest comparison is not which is cheaper. It is whether you want a feedback board that weights votes, or a product suite that also does. If your team is one or two people and the board is the whole job, our number is smaller and our product is smaller in exactly the same proportion.
14 days, a card at signup, then $9 or $39 a month.
What costs extra on top of the seat price?
One thing worth knowing, and it is the one people usually want.
Removing Featurebase branding is a sixty nine dollar a month add on, and it is available only on Professional and Enterprise. So a white labelled board starts at fifty nine dollars a seat plus sixty nine, rather than at the twenty nine on the top line.
Their Professional plan also includes twenty free Lite seats and Enterprise includes fifty, which is how colleagues who only need to read get in without a full seat each.
What does a team of four cost a year?
Between $1,392 and $3,660, and which end you land on is decided by one row that is not the price.
Growth is $29 a seat each month billed yearly, so four seats is $116 a month and $1,392 a year. Professional is $59 a seat, so the same four people are $236 a month and $2,832 a year.
Removing the Featurebase branding is $69 a month and is not offered on Growth, so an unbranded board for four people is $305 a month, which is $3,660 a year.
One figure cannot be worked out in advance. The AI resolutions are 49 cents each on top of all of that, charged once per conversation the agent closes, so the number depends on how much support traffic it handles rather than on your plan.
Which one should you actually pick?
Them, if any of three things is true, and it is worth saying that plainly on our own page.
Take Featurebase if your budget is zero today, because their free tier is real and we do not have one. Take them if you want a helpdesk and a feedback board in one subscription, because we do not have a helpdesk and are not building one.
Take them if you have several products, because five boards on their second plan is a different shape from our one.
Take us if the board is the whole job and you want the votes weighted by what the customer pays without counting seats. Nine dollars, one project, everything in it, and a card is required for the fourteen day trial.
The product comparison rather than the price one is here, and every figure above was photographed on their own pricing page on the date at the top of this page.
