Jira Product Discovery pricing, and who counts as a creator

Jira Product Discovery pricing is per creator, and the whole bill turns on how many people in your company need to be one. Free forever covers three creators, Standard is ten dollars a creator a month, Premium is twenty five, and Enterprise is quoted.

Everything a viewer does costs nothing. That single fact is what makes this product priced unlike almost everything else in this comparison, and it is also what makes the sum hard to do from the table alone.

Every figure below was read on Atlassian's own pricing page on 14 September 2026.

The Jira Product Discovery pricing page read 2026-09-14, a Free plan for three creators, Standard at ten dollars a creator a month, Premium at twenty five and a quoted Enterprise tier

Does Jira Product Discovery cost money, and how much?

Nothing for three creators, then ten or twenty five dollars a creator a month.

Plan Price Billed per
Free Free up to 3 creators
Standard $10 per creator
Premium $25 per creator
Enterprise Custom, billed annually per creator
  • Free is for 2GB of storage and community support.
  • Standard is for an individual team getting started.
  • Premium is for visibility and control across several teams.
  • Enterprise is for compliance, scale and security.

A creator is somebody who builds and edits ideas and views. Everybody else is a contributor, and contributors are unlimited and free on every plan including the free one.

Does Jira Product Discovery have a free plan?

Yes, and it is free forever rather than a trial.

Three creators, unlimited contributors and two gigabytes of storage, with community support rather than a support queue. For a team where one product manager builds the views and everybody else comments and votes, that is a real free plan and not a demo.

The wall is the fourth creator. A team that wants two people editing views and one running the roadmap is inside it. A team where every product manager wants to build their own view is not.

The three plans this product sells, Lite, Pro and a one off Lifetime, with what each one includes and what it leaves out
What this costs: two plans and a one off.

What does a team of five cost a year?

Six hundred dollars on Standard, or fifteen hundred on Premium, if all five are creators.

Five creators at ten dollars a month is fifty dollars a month and six hundred dollars a year. On Premium the same five is a hundred and twenty five dollars a month and fifteen hundred dollars a year.

If only two of the five build views, the same team is two hundred and forty dollars a year on Standard, and if three of them fit under the free ceiling it is nothing.

So the useful question is not how many people will use it. It is how many will edit it, and that number is usually far smaller than the headcount somebody quotes you.

Is a creator the same as a tracked user?

No, and the difference runs the opposite way to most of this category.

A tracked user meter counts your customers, so the bill rises as more of them participate. A creator meter counts your colleagues, so the bill rises as more of your own team edits. Your customers never appear on an Atlassian invoice for this product.

The arithmetic for the tools that do meter customers is worked out separately, and reading the two side by side is the fastest way to see which shape of bill you are signing up for.

The voter list, one row per person, showing where each arrived from and how many requests and comments they have left
Everyone who voted, one row each, no account required.

Who is Jira Product Discovery for?

A team already inside Jira, where the roadmap's audience is the company rather than the customer.

It sits in the Atlassian estate, it hands ideas to delivery tickets without an integration, and the people who need to see the roadmap already have an Atlassian login. If that describes you, the per creator price is cheap and the free tier may well be enough.

It is a different purchase if the audience is outside your company. What the two products do differently is worked through on the alternative page, including who can reach the board without an account.

14 days, a card at signup, then $9 or $39 a month.

What does the same team cost here?

Nine dollars a month for one project, or thirty nine for colleagues, and nothing counts the people who vote.

The nine dollar plan is one project and one person. Thirty nine adds more projects, the API, a custom domain and team members with no count on the team, so a team of five and a team of fifty cost the same.

The honest comparison is that Atlassian's free tier beats our entry price for a team of three creators who are happy inside Jira, and that our board is reachable by a customer who has no Atlassian account. Both of our figures are published and a card is required for the fourteen day trial.
