Productlane is priced the way support software is priced, because it is support software with a feature request portal attached. The user is somebody on your side, and the second meter counts how many tickets the AI agent resolves.
The overage rate is the same on all three published plans, which means moving up a tier buys you a larger allowance rather than a cheaper rate. Everything below was read on Productlane's own pricing page on 16 September 2026.
What does Productlane cost?
Three published plans and a quoted one.
| Plan | Per user monthly | AI resolutions | Included AI credits | Each extra resolution |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $29 | 25 | $5 a month | $0.79 |
| Pro | $59 | 50 | $10 a month | $0.79 |
| Scale | $99 | 100 | $20 a month | $0.79 |
| Enterprise | Contact sales | Custom volume | Custom | Volume pricing |
- Starter carries the shared email inbox, live chat, the AI agent and drafts, the self updating help centre, feature requests and a custom domain.
- Pro adds the shared Slack inbox, custom connectors, a custom theme, custom views, reporting and macros.
- Scale adds the customer support portal, multiple portals, multiple languages, a private portal, single sign on by JWT and SLA policies.
- Enterprise adds volume AI rates, invoicing, a security review, onboarding and a named contact.
Their page carries a startup discount described as eighty nine percent off: six seats on the Scale plan at sixty five dollars a month for the first year, for companies that have raised under ten million dollars and have fewer than fifteen people, reviewed in one to two days.
If that arithmetic came out badly, a trial here is 14 days with a card at signup and the bill after it is $9 or $39 a month.
What does the AI meter do to the bill?
It adds a line that is hard to forecast, because it follows how many tickets arrive rather than how many people you hired.
| Setup | Base | AI overage | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 users, 40 resolutions | $58 | 0 on Pro allowance | $118 on Pro |
| 2 users, 40 resolutions on Starter | $58 | 15 at $0.79, being $11.85 | $69.85 |
| 4 users, 150 resolutions on Starter | $116 | 125 at $0.79, being $98.75 | $214.75 |
| 4 users, 150 resolutions on Scale | $396 | 50 at $0.79, being $39.50 | $435.50 |
The interesting row is the second. On a small team the cheapest plan with overage beats the plan above it, because the overage rate does not improve when you upgrade.
Does Productlane have a free plan?
No. The published price list starts at twenty nine dollars a user a month, with a trial offered on the Pro plan.
The nearest thing to a free plan is the startup discount, which is not free but is the largest published discount in this comparison. Six Scale seats at sixty five dollars a month is about eleven dollars a seat for the first year, and there are two eligibility tests to pass.

Fourteen day trial of Pro, card asked for at signup. Nothing here counts the people who vote, so the bill does not move when the board starts working. The long version, with what happens if you stop paying.
Fourteen days of Pro, a card at signup, then nine or thirty nine a month.
What is on the entry plan that usually is not?
The custom domain and the feature request portal, both on Starter.
That is genuinely generous. A custom domain for the public pages is commonly two tiers up in this category, and the feature request page arriving on the cheapest plan means the portal is not being used as an upsell.
What is held back is the private portal, multiple portals and multi language, all on Scale at ninety nine dollars a user. If your board has to be visible only to signed in customers, that is the plan.
Who is this price list actually for?
A team where the same two or three people answer support and decide the roadmap.
If that is you, one subscription covering both jobs is worth more than the sum of its parts, and twenty nine dollars a head is a reasonable price for a support desk with an AI agent in it.
If support already runs somewhere else, you are paying per agent for an inbox nobody will open, and the thing you wanted was the portal.
What does this cost on VoteFirst?
Nine dollars a month for one project and thirty nine for unlimited projects, with no per user line and no per resolution line.
Neither of Productlane's two meters exists here. The board is the whole product, so there is no inbox to pay for and nothing to forecast.
What Productlane has that this does not is the support desk, the AI agent and the self updating help centre. The weighted vote is explained here and the alternative page compares the rest.
