How much does Featurebase cost compared to UserJot?

It depends on two numbers at once, how many colleagues you pay for and how many boards you run, and the second one decides more than the first.

What does each do with a vote from a big customer?

Featurebase ties a request to a customer's revenue and lets you filter by it. UserJot's own pages do not mention revenue, a tier or a vote weight anywhere.

Featurebase's own words are to tie feedback to revenue and filter by it, which orders a list rather than changing the weight of a single vote. Neither of this pair multiplies a vote by what its owner pays us.

Can I move from one to the other?

Neither vendor's pages we read for this comparison describe a self serve export, so leaving either one usually means writing to support rather than pressing a button.

What tends to disappear on a move between any pair of tools in this category is who cast each vote rather than the running total, the comment threads under a request, and any board link a customer already bookmarked.

We are not going to describe what either export actually contains beyond that. We have not read documentation stating it for either product, and guessing would be exactly the kind of number this page refuses to invent.

Where we fit, and where we do not

We are one module, a public board with a roadmap. Neither of the two products above stops there, and both have something real that we do not.

Both carry a free plan. Featurebase's is one seat with uncapped end users and uncapped feedback. UserJot's is two boards with unlimited users and three admin roles. We have no free plan at any price.

Both also put single sign on behind an identity provider on a paid tier, Featurebase's on Enterprise and UserJot's on Professional. Ours signs a voter in with a token your own application issues, on the thirty nine dollar plan, which answers a different question than a company directory login does.

What this product does instead is put a whole number multiplier on a tier, write that weight onto the vote the moment it is cast, and show the plain count beside the weighted total, on the nine dollar plan as well as the thirty nine dollar one.

What is Featurebase, and what is UserJot?

Featurebase is a feedback board sold together with a help desk, a changelog and a survey module under one login, billed by the seat.

UserJot is a workspace based feedback board with a roadmap and a changelog built in from the free plan up, priced by the workspace rather than by the person, with unlimited users on every tier including the free one.

The honest summary

Featurebase's bill tracks your colleagues and hands you a revenue signal on the cheapest paid plan. UserJot's bill barely moves at all until you need a third board, a custom domain, or a login through your own identity provider.
