Amplitude pricing, by the event

Amplitude sells product analytics, session replay, feature flags, experimentation, guides and surveys and agent analytics under one account, all included on every plan. Free covers 2 million events a month forever, with no card needed. Plus starts at $0, keeps the same 2 million free events, then bills whatever is sent above that on a sliding per event rate up to 70 million events a month. Growth and Enterprise raise the volume further and both are quoted after a sales call.

Every current figure here was read on amplitude.com/pricing on 5 October 2026, including the Plus plan's own billing calculator, and every older one on the Internet Archive's copies of the same page.

What does Amplitude cost?

Plan Price Events What it adds
Free $0, no card 2 million a month forever Full platform, 10,000 monthly session replays, unlimited feature flags, limited experiments
Plus Starts at $0, card required First 2 million free, scales to 70 million Custom events and formulas, 20 behavioral cohorts, alerts, heatmaps, two year data retention
Growth Custom, event based pricing Contact sales Advanced behavioral exploration, currency conversion, monitoring and alerts, 20,000 monthly session replays, SSO
Enterprise Custom, event based pricing Contact sales Unlimited projects per portfolio, data access controls, unlimited monitoring, 50,000 monthly session replays

Team members are unlimited on every plan. The compare table lists Free as "Up to 2M EV" and Plus as "Up to 700K MTU / 70M EV", keeping a secondary monthly tracked user figure next to the event cap.

What does a month cost at different event volumes?

The Plus plan's own calculator, billed yearly, printed these figures as its slider moved from 2 million events to its 70 million event maximum.

Events a month Rate per event Monthly bill, billed yearly
2 million Free $0
4.6 million $0.00004 $193
10 million $0.00006 $576
19 million $0.00006 $1,190
40.1 million $0.00007 $2,634
70 million $0.00007 $4,692

Billed monthly instead of yearly, the same calculator showed higher figures at the same point on the slider: 5 million events cost $281 a month, 34.5 million cost $2,818, and the 70 million event maximum cost $5,778 rather than $4,692. Past 70 million events a month, Plus has no higher setting; the plan card points to Growth instead, and Growth and Enterprise are both quoted rather than metered on the page.

Is there a free plan or a trial?

Free needs no credit card and has no end date; the pricing FAQ describes it as a plan rather than a trial, with no time limit. Plus needs a card at signup and starts billing once usage passes the free 2 million events. The page lists no separate trial of Plus, and no refund terms. Startups with under $10 million in funding and fewer than 20 employees get one free year of Growth through Amplitude's Startup Scholarship, and a separate Tech for Black Founders Scholarship offers free, unlimited access to Growth for qualifying organizations.

How has Amplitude's price changed?

Archive copy Plans and prices
23 August 2013 Basic free for 5 million monthly events and 1 app; Professional $299 a month for 25 million events and 5 apps; Business $1,999 a month for 200 million events; Enterprise quoted with unlimited events

13 September 2023 Switched to monthly tracked users: Free up to 100,000 MTUs with unlimited events; Growth up to 1 million MTUs with unlimited events
12 September 2024 A new Plus tier priced per MTU: Free cut to 50,000 MTUs; Plus billed yearly from $49 a month for 1,000 MTUs, $449 for 50,000 and $2,520 for 300,000
4 October 2025 Free still 50,000 MTUs with up to 10 million events; Plus still priced by MTU, from $49 a month for 1,000 MTUs
12 April 2026 Free's MTU allowance fell to 10,000 while its event cap held at 10 million; Plus listed both meters at once, "Up to 300K MTUs or 25M events"
13 September 2026 to today MTUs dropped from the plan cards; Free is "2M Events/month forever" and Plus bills purely by event volume up to 70 million, matching the page read on 5 October 2026

Amplitude billed flat tiers by monthly events and app count in 2013, settled into a free plan with a flat 10 million action cap and two quoted plans from 2018 to 2022, switched its meter to monthly tracked users in 2023, added a separate per MTU priced Plus tier in 2024, ran both meters side by side through early 2026, and dropped MTUs from the plan cards by September 2026 in favor of the pure event pricing the page bills by today. The Free plan's allowance changed with each meter: 10 million actions, then 100,000 MTUs, then 50,000 and 10,000 MTUs, and now 2 million events.

Does Amplitude run a feature voting board?

Amplitude's community forum, linked from its site footer, has an Ideas category, labeled Feature Requests in the forum's sidebar, where customers post requests that carry a point count. It sits inside a wider support forum with categories for data instrumentation, experimentation, announcements and getting started, and the forum pages read here show no public roadmap tying those requests to what ships.

VoteFirst is a feature request board: customers post requests, vote on each other's and follow a public roadmap, at $9 a month for one project or $39 for unlimited projects and colleagues, with no event or user count to track. Amplitude's free plan runs forever with the full analytics, replay and experimentation platform included at no cost, something VoteFirst does not offer since it has no free plan. PostHog prices its own analytics, replay and flags the same way, by the unit past a free allowance, Pendo meters by monthly active user instead of event, and the pricing hub groups every vendor by what it meters.
