Mixpanel sells product analytics, session replay, feature flags and experiments as one Growth plan, priced on the number of events tracked each month rather than on a seat count. Seats are unlimited on every plan, including the free one. Session replays, active feature flags and experiment units each carry their own cap per plan, but none of them is billed on its own the way Mixpanel bills events; a visitor picks an event volume on a slider and sees one monthly price that covers the whole plan.
Every current figure here was read on mixpanel.com/pricing on 5 October 2026, with the Growth plan calculator worked through its slider at each step, and every older figure on the Internet Archive's copies of the pricing page.
What does each Mixpanel plan include?
| Plan | Price | Monthly events | Session replays | Active feature flags | Experiment units |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | Free forever, no card | Up to 1 million | 10,000 a month | Up to 10 | Up to 1,000 a month |
| Growth | Starts at $0, by the slider | Up to 20 million | 20,000 included, up to 500,000 a month | Up to 50 | 5,000 a month |
| Enterprise | Custom, a quote | Up to 1 trillion | Custom volumes | Custom | Custom |
Growth also carries unlimited saved reports, cohorts and metrics, custom and borrowed properties, and up to five alerts. Group analytics is an add on on Growth and Enterprise, with no price printed. Enterprise adds unlimited alerts, root cause analysis, metric trees, a customizable retention policy and a dedicated success team.
What does a month cost at different event volumes?
| Monthly events | Billed yearly | Billed monthly |
|---|---|---|
| 1 million | $0 | $0 |
| 1.5 million | $120 | $140 |
| 2 million | $185 | $259 |
| 5 million | $438 | $613 |
| 10 million | $840 | $1,176 |
| 20 million | $1,635 | $2,289 |
| Past 20 million | A quote | A quote |
The Growth plan's calculator tops out at 20 million events a month; past that point the slider itself turns into a "Contact Sales" card rather than a price, with a line saying higher volumes are served by a quote and a volume discount. At every step below that, paying yearly instead of monthly saves a growing amount: $480 a year at 1.5 million events, up to $7,848 a year at 20 million.
Is there a free plan or a trial?
The Free plan needs no card and has no end date. It covers up to 1 million events a month, 10,000 session replays, 1,000 monthly experiment units, 10 active feature flags and five saved reports for each seat, with unlimited seats. Growth starts at $0 rather than with a timed trial: its calculator prices the first million events a month at nothing, and the pricing page lists no trial period. Mixpanel runs a startup program instead of a discount code: a company founded less than five years ago, with up to 8 million dollars in total funding, that has not already redeemed another offer, gets its first year free on the Growth plan, including 1 billion events, 1 million session replays and the full product suite.
How has Mixpanel's price changed?
| Archive copy | Plans and prices |
|---|---|
| 12 August 2013 | Data point model: Free 25,000 data points a month; Startup 500,000 for $150; Business 2 million for $350; Growth 4 million for $600; Premium 8 million for $1,000; Enterprise 20 million for $2,000; above that a quote. A separate People add on charged again for profiles, from 1,000 free up to 1 million for $1,800 |
| 2 October 2018 | Still data points, but the free tier jumped to 5 million a month; Startup ran $150 a month from 1 million data points, or $999 a year from 10 million; Enterprise by quote. The People add on became its own $150 a month or $999 a year plan |
| 13 October 2020 | Moved to monthly tracked users: Starter free to 1,000 MTUs; Growth from $24 a month for 1,000 MTUs, in plans up to 25,000 MTUs; Enterprise by quote. A startup program offered $50,000 in credits |
| 26 November 2022 | Still MTUs, but the free tier rose to 100,000 monthly tracked users with unlimited seats and history; Growth built online from $25 a month; Enterprise by quote; the startup program still gave $50,000 in credits |
| 14 October 2025 | Moved to events: Free capped at 1 million monthly events with 10,000 session replays; Growth gave the first million events free, then a flat $0.28 per 1,000 events with volume discounts available; Enterprise unlimited events by quote |
| 5 October 2026 (today) | Still events, but the flat rate per 1,000 events is gone: Growth is a banded calculator, $120 a month at 1.5 million events up to $1,635 at 20 million, billed yearly; past 20 million it is a quote |
Mixpanel has priced on three different units: data points through at least 2018, monthly tracked users from 2020 through at least 2022, and events by October 2025. The free tier moved the most, from 25,000 data points in 2013 to 5 million in 2018, then measured in MTUs at 100,000 by 2022, and now capped at 1 million events. The startup program also changed shape, from a flat $50,000 credit through 2022 to a full free first year today. Between October 2025 and October 2026, Mixpanel also replaced a single flat overage rate per 1,000 events with the current banded calculator, where the rate per event falls as volume rises.
Does Mixpanel run a feature voting board?
Mixpanel's own site links out to a separate community site, community.mixpanel.com, which has a Product Ideas section where customers post suggestions for the product team. Posts there look like forum threads: a title, a body, comments and emoji reactions. There is no vote count or ranking control anywhere on that page, so a customer can write up an idea and react to someone else's, but cannot see which requests have the most support or follow a public roadmap built from votes.
What this costs
Lite
$9 /mo
Pro
$39 /mo
Lifetime
$999 once
Fourteen day trial of Pro, card asked for at signup. Nothing here counts the people who vote, so the bill does not move when the board starts working. The long version, with what happens if you stop paying.
VoteFirst is a feature request board: customers post requests, vote on each other's and follow a public roadmap, at $9 a month for one project or $39 for unlimited projects and colleagues. Mixpanel's free plan covers a real amount of product analytics at no cost and no card, which VoteFirst does not offer at any tier. PostHog bills analytics, replay and flags separately, each by its own unit with its own free allowance, Pendo meters product analytics by monthly active users instead, and the pricing hub groups every vendor by what it meters.
How were these prices read?
The current figures come from mixpanel.com/pricing, read in a browser on 5 October 2026, with the "Estimate your Growth plan price" slider moved to 1, 1.5, 2, 5, 10 and 20 million events and each reading held until the price and the "Save" badge settled. The community board comes from community.mixpanel.com/x/product-ideas on the same day. The history comes from the Internet Archive's copies of the pricing page taken on 12 August 2013, 2 October 2018, 13 October 2020, 26 November 2022 and 14 October 2025, each read as plain text; an 8 October 2024 copy was checked too but its calculator needs JavaScript the archive does not replay, so it printed no price and is left out of the table.
14 days, a card at signup, then $9 or $39 a month.
