Convas starts at $15 a month for 100 tracked users, then $15 for every 100 more, read on its own pricing page on 21 October 2026. VoteFirst, whose maker wrote this page, starts at $9 a month for one project, so weigh what follows with that in mind.
Convas runs a public feedback page with voting, a roadmap and a widget, and prices it by tracked users: anyone who posts, votes or comments. Free covers 25 of them. Growth is $15 a month for 100, plus $15 for each further 100. Business is $150 a month with no limit, and Private, for a password protected or invite only board, is $99. Every plan has unlimited team members, unlimited boards, a custom domain and every integration.
Every current figure here was read on convas.io/pricing on 4 October 2026, and every older one on the Internet Archive's copies of the same page.
What does Convas cost?
| Plan | Price a month | Tracked users | Board |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 25 | Public |
| Growth | $15, plus $15 per further 100 | 100 and up | Public |
| Business | $150 | Unlimited | Public |
| Private | $99 | Unlimited | Password protected or invite only |
Billing is monthly only; the page says "You are billed on a monthly basis" and offers no yearly price. Non commercial open source projects get the feedback page free.
The meter has one rule that matters more than the price: "The user only counts once. They can post, vote or comment as many times as they want. Tracked users do not reset." Someone who voted once two years ago still counts this month. The page estimates "about 5% of your total users will become tracked feedback users".
What does Convas cost as a board gets older?
Because tracked users never reset, the bill follows everyone who has ever taken part, not this month's activity. A board that gains 20 new voters a month goes like this.
| Month | Tracked users so far | Plan | Price that month |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 20 | Free | $0 |
| 2 | 40 | Growth | $15 |
| 6 | 120 | Growth | $30 |
| 12 | 240 | Growth | $45 |
| 24 | 480 | Growth | $75 |
| 36 | 720 | Growth | $120 |
| 50 | 1,000 | Growth or Business | $150 |
The first year costs $300 in all, the second $735 and the third $1,170, with nothing changed but time. From the thousandth tracked user Business costs the same as Growth and stops rising, which the Convas alternatives page works through at every size.
Is there a free plan or a trial?
Free is permanent, for 25 tracked users. The page says "No credit card required • Cancel any time", and its answers say crossing 25 tracked users brings a charge "only if you have added your credit card". Private carries a 14 day free trial. The page lists no refund terms.
How has Convas's price changed?
| Archive copy | Plans and prices a month |
|---|---|
| June 2020 | Priced on team members: Hobby at $49 for one; Startup at $99 for up to five, with integrations; Business at $249 for up to twenty five, with a custom domain and "Powered by Convas" removed; Enterprise by quote |
| August to November 2020 | One flat plan at $49 with every feature, unlimited team members and boards, and a 14 day trial |
| January to April 2021 | Priced on tracked users: Free for 50; Growth at $15 for 100, plus $15 per further 100; Business at $150 unlimited; removing "Powered by Convas" $200 a month more |
| March 2023 to October 2026 | Free cut to 25 tracked users; Growth and Business unchanged; the branding line gone; Private added at $99 |
In four months of 2020 Convas went from charging per team member to one flat price, and by January 2021 it charged per voter instead. Growth's $15 per 100 has not moved since. Free halved from 50 tracked users to 25 between the copies of April 2021 and March 2023; the archive holds no copy in between.
Does Convas run a feature voting board?
It does; that is the product, with a public roadmap, internal comments, anonymous voting and moderation. Its site names one founder, and its newest blog post, on support for 25 languages, was first archived in October 2025.
What this costs
Lite
$9 /mo
Pro
$39 /mo
Lifetime
$999 once
Fourteen day trial of Pro, card asked for at signup. Nothing here counts the people who vote, so the bill does not move when the board starts working. The long version, with what happens if you stop paying.
VoteFirst is the same kind of board at $9 a month for one project or $39 for unlimited projects and colleagues, with no count of voters, so a board that is three years old costs what it did in its first month. Convas is cheaper while it is small: free to 25 voters and $15 to 100, against VoteFirst's $9 with no free plan. VoteFirst puts the custom domain on Pro at $39 where Convas has it on every plan. What VoteFirst adds is voting weighted by what each customer pays. Canny and Productroad also meter voters, and the pricing hub groups every vendor by what it meters.
How were these prices read?
The current plans come from convas.io/pricing, read on 4 October 2026 as served, with the answers under its questions. The history comes from the Internet Archive's copies of the same address taken on 13 June, 14 August, 29 October and 29 November 2020, 27 January, 18 February and 16 April 2021, 31 March 2023, and 17 September and 11 October 2025. Prices are in US dollars.
What does Convas cost at 100, 1,000 and 10,000 voters?
Convas bills $15 for every 100 tracked users, so the bill climbs to $150 at the top tier. VoteFirst is $9 a month at 100 voters, $9 at 1,000 voters and $9 at 10,000 voters.
Where Convas still wins
Convas includes unlimited team members and unlimited boards on every plan, and VoteFirst's $9 plan has no team members.
What VoteFirst does not do
- No SAML or OIDC. Single sign on is a signed JWT handoff only, on PRO.
- No Slack, Zapier or outgoing webhooks.
- No AI clustering, summarization or automated conversation analysis.
- No Android or Kotlin SDK.
- No private boards on any plan. A board is public to everyone or to nobody.
- Custom domain serves three paths only, the public roadmap, the public voting board and one named board, not the changelog or the most wanted list.
- No free plan. A 14 day trial, card required at signup.
Run your own public Canny or Featurebase board through the board audit to see its votes, its voters and what it costs at that size.
14 days, a card at signup, then $9 or $39 a month.
