UserEcho pricing, by the agent

UserEcho sells a helpdesk, a feedback forum, a knowledge base and live chat as one product, with a free trial, read on its own pricing page on 21 October 2026. VoteFirst, whose maker wrote this page, starts at $9 a month for one project, so weigh what follows with that in mind.

UserEcho bundles a feedback forum with voting, a knowledge base, a helpdesk and live chat into one product, and sells all of it on a single plan called Universal, priced by the agent: anyone who moderates the forum, answers a ticket or edits a setting. There is no tier ladder to climb, only more agents.

Every current figure here was read on userecho.com/pricing on 4 October 2026, and every older one on the Internet Archive's copies of the same page.

What does UserEcho cost?

Plan Billed annually Billed monthly What it covers
Universal $19 a month per agent $25 a month per agent Unlimited forums, unlimited knowledge bases, email ticketing, live chat
Free $0 $0 1 agent, 1 forum, fewer features

Three extras sit below the plan: removing UserEcho's branding is $100 a month, a custom branding service starts at $500, and each additional subdomain past the one included is $15 a month. The page prints no per entry or per ticket overage.

What does UserEcho cost as a team grows?

Agents Billed annually, a month Billed monthly
1 $19 $25
3 $57 $75
5 $95 $125
10 $190 $250

The page says agents can be added or removed at any time, paying as you go, so each row is the per agent price times the team. Billed annually saves 24 percent on the monthly price.

Is there a free plan or a trial?

The trial runs 15 days and the page states no credit card is required. At the end of it, an account without a card on file is automatically limited to the free plan: 1 agent, 1 forum and fewer features than Universal. Giving detailed feedback about the trial can extend it another 15 days. The page lists no refund terms. Nonprofit, civic or government projects can ask for special pricing, and payment can be monthly or annual by card, PayPal or bank transfer.

How has UserEcho's price changed?

Archive copy Plans and prices a month
January 2012 to May 2014 Four tiers: Free $0, Base $15, Base+ $59, Advanced $256
August 2015 to January 2017 One Universal plan at $15 per agent, no annual option shown
January 2018 to May 2020 Universal at $19 per agent annually or $25 monthly

Between May 2014 and August 2015 UserEcho dropped its four tier ladder for the single Universal plan it still sells. Between January 2017 and January 2018 that plan rose from $15 an agent to $19 billed annually or $25 monthly, the same figures today's page prints. White labeling has cost $100 a month and each extra subdomain $15 a month since 2015. Until 2018 the page also sold SSL hosting at $10 a month; by May 2020 that line was gone and a branding service from $500 had taken its place.

Does UserEcho run its own feedback board?

It does, at support.userecho.com, where a Feature requests category for suggestions about UserEcho itself sits among the 2,073 topics of its community forum. The category held 25 topics when read on 4 October 2026. The ten shown first carry between zero and 15 votes each, and the most recently updated of them was last touched four years ago.

VoteFirst is a feature voting board at $9 a month for one project or $39 for unlimited projects and colleagues, with no per agent charge and no free plan. UserEcho's pricing page sells a helpdesk with email ticketing and live chat alongside its forum, which VoteFirst does not offer at any price. UserVoice, Fider and Frill price the closest rival voting boards, and the pricing hub groups every vendor by what it meters.

How were these prices read?

The current figures came from userecho.com/pricing read on 4 October 2026. The history came from the Internet Archive's copies of the same page taken on 26 January 2012, 21 May 2014, 26 August 2015, 11 May 2016, 18 January 2017, 13 January 2018, 18 July 2018 and 13 May 2020. The forum figures came from support.userecho.com's Community Forum and its Feature requests category, both read directly on 4 October 2026.

What does UserEcho cost at 100, 1,000 and 10,000 voters?

UserEcho shows no price on its page, so there is nothing to read at 100, 1,000 or 10,000 voters. VoteFirst is $9 a month at 100 voters, $9 at 1,000 voters and $9 at 10,000 voters.

Where UserEcho still wins

UserEcho is a helpdesk first, with the feedback forum as one part of it.

What VoteFirst does not do

  • No SAML or OIDC. Single sign on is a signed JWT handoff only, on PRO.
  • No Slack, Zapier or outgoing webhooks.
  • No AI clustering, summarization or automated conversation analysis.
  • No Android or Kotlin SDK.
  • No private boards on any plan. A board is public to everyone or to nobody.
  • Custom domain serves three paths only, the public roadmap, the public voting board and one named board, not the changelog or the most wanted list.
  • No free plan. A 14 day trial, card required at signup.

Run your own public Canny or Featurebase board through the board audit to see its votes, its voters and what it costs at that size.

The VoteFirst board a visitor sees, with the vote count on each card.

14 days, a card at signup, then $9 or $39 a month.
