Appcues pricing, and the last prices it printed

Appcues prints no price. Its pricing page has three plans, Start, Grow and Enterprise, and every one of them leads to a call with sales. Until March 2026 the same page carried a slider that priced Start and Grow by monthly active users, from $300 and $750 a month at 1,000 users, paid annually, to $900 and $1,200 at 10,000.

The current plans were read on appcues.com/pricing on 4 October 2026, and the last printed prices come from the Internet Archive's copies of that page.

What did Appcues cost when it last printed prices?

The archived copies from 29 January, 14 February and 13 March 2026 carry the same table, priced for one app and paid annually.

Monthly active users Start Grow
1,000 $300 a month $750 a month
1,500 to 2,000 $375 $800
2,500 to 3,000 $450 $850
3,500 to 4,000 $525 $900
4,500 to 5,000 $600 $950
6,000 $660 $1,000
7,000 $720 $1,050
8,000 $780 $1,100
9,000 $840 $1,150
10,000 $900 $1,200
15,000 or more Quoted Quoted

Paid annually, that is $3,600 a year for Start at 1,000 users and $10,800 at 10,000, and $9,000 to $14,400 a year for Grow. Enterprise was quoted at every size. By 12 April 2026 the figures were gone, and the page has carried none since.

These were list prices on the day they were archived. A quote today may differ, and only Appcues gives it.

What do the plans include now?

Plan Monthly active users Published experiences Reporting history
Start Up to 3,000 10 12 months
Grow From 3,000 25 24 months
Enterprise Custom 100 36 months, with priority support and services

Appcues says pricing rests on three things: monthly active users, the number of installations, and published experiences, its word for the flows and messages shown to users. A monthly active user is anyone who signs into your product in a given month, and users who stay dormant are not counted. A product that goes over its plan's users or yearly emails keeps its experiences running, and Appcues says someone will be in touch about upgrading at the next billing cycle.

Is there a free trial or a plan for small teams?

There is a free trial with no card, and it starts with a call with sales to check the fit. During it you can show unlimited flows to your users. The page gives no length for it.

For teams under 25 people Appcues runs the Spark program, aimed at shipping a first in app experience without much setup. The pricing page links to it and prints no price for it either.

How has Appcues' price changed?

The Internet Archive holds copies of the pricing page from 2014. Appcues printed prices for most of that time, under a different set of plan names in almost every period.

Archive copy What the pricing page showed
January 2014 Hobby at $49 a month, Startup at $149 and Business at $249
January 2016 Bootstrap at $99 a month up to 1,000 monthly active users, Startup at $299 up to 4,000 then $29 for each extra 1,000, and Growth at $699 up to 20,000 then $9 for each extra 1,000
March 2019 Standard at $649 a month billed annually or $779 billed monthly
April 2020 Essentials at $279 a month paid annually or $299 monthly, at 2,000 monthly active users, and Growth at $879 paid annually
January 2021 Essentials from $249 a month paid annually or $299 monthly, and Growth from $879, both scaling with users
2022 to January 2025 Essentials, Growth and Enterprise, renamed Start and Grow by 2025, with no figure readable in the archived copies
January to March 2026 Start from $300 and Grow from $750 a month at 1,000 users, paid annually, up to 10,000 users
April 2026 to now No figures. Every plan is booked through a call

The cheapest printed plan went from $49 a month in 2014 to $300 a month on a yearly contract in 2026, about six times as much.

Is Appcues a feedback tool?

Appcues is a product adoption tool: onboarding flows, in app messages, mobile experiences and behavioral email, built to move users to the features that keep them. Its menu lists feedback among the jobs it does. A team that wants users to post requests and vote on them is buying a different kind of tool.

VoteFirst is a public board where users post requests, vote and see what was decided, at $9 a month for one project or $39 for unlimited projects and colleagues, with no meter on monthly active users. It has no onboarding flows or in app messages. Userpilot still prints its prices, $299 a month for 2,000 monthly active users, and the in app feedback tools are compared on one page. Eight product tour tools are priced by the active user on one page.

How were these prices read?

The current plans, limits and answers come from appcues.com/pricing, read on 4 October 2026. The 2026 price table comes from the page's own script in the Internet Archive's copies of 29 January, 14 February and 13 March 2026, and its removal from the copy of 12 April 2026. The older prices come from the copies of 8 January 2014, 5 January 2016, 31 March 2019, 26 April 2020 and 16 January 2021, and the copies from 2022 to January 2025 were read for figures and carried none in their HTML. Prices are in US dollars before tax.

14 days, a card at signup, then $9 or $39 a month.
