Condens pricing, by the contributor

Condens is a research repository: it transcribes interviews, holds the findings in one place and lets stakeholders read them. It prices by the contributor, meaning anyone who uploads, tags or analyzes research, while viewers who only read what is shared stay free on the plans that allow them. Lite costs €15 a month for one contributor. Business costs €500 a month, billed only yearly at €6,000 a year, for five contributors and unlimited viewers. Enterprise is priced after a sales call, with a minimum of five contributors.

Every current figure here was read on condens.io/pricing on 4 October 2026, and every older one on the Internet Archive's copies of the same page.

What does Condens cost?

Plan Price Contributors included Additional contributor Billing
Lite €15 a month, or €165 a year 1 €15 a month Monthly or yearly
Business €500 a month, €6,000 a year 5 €85 a month Yearly only
Enterprise Custom, through sales Minimum 5 Custom Custom

Every plan carries unlimited projects, unlimited file storage and unlimited automated transcription. Lite limits a workspace to one folder and 25 cross project participant profiles; Business and Enterprise lift both to unlimited and add unlimited viewers, three customizable insights repositories and data security assessments. The page's compare table marks a monthly subscription option as included in Lite and absent from Business and Enterprise, so the €500 figure on Business is a yearly contract shown as a monthly rate, not a plan you can cancel month to month.

What does Condens cost as a team of contributors grows?

Contributors Lite a month Business a month
1 €15 €500 (5 included)
5 €75 €500
10 €150 €925
20 €300 €1,775

Lite stays cheaper by raw contributor count at every size on this table, because its €15 step never rises, while Business starts at €500 for five seats and then adds €85 for each one past that. What Business buys instead of a lower seat price is unlimited viewers, the shared repository and security assessments, with single sign on and HIPAA sold as add ons; Enterprise includes both.

Is there a free plan or a trial?

Condens runs no free plan. The trial is 15 days, and the page's own answers say no payment information is needed to start it. If the trial ends and nobody enters payment details, the workspace turns read only rather than deleting anything. The FAQ says Condens is free for educational purposes and discounted for nonprofits. The page lists no refund terms. Business and Enterprise can also be paid by bank transfer.

How has Condens's price changed?

Archive copy Plans and prices a month
December 2019 Individual at $30 a user, one user; Team at $125, up to ten users; Custom through sales
August 2020 Same three tiers, now in euros: Individual €30, Team €125; a Pay per project tier added at €50 a project with add on packages for extra collaborators and media
June 2022 Individual €30 with 180 transcription hours a year; Company €120 with five researchers and 600 hours; Enterprise through sales with 1,200 hours; Pay per project still €50
June 2023 to November 2024 Four tiers: Individual €15 with 12 transcription hours a month; Team €170 with 50 hours; Business €400 paid yearly, €4,800 a year, unlimited transcription; Enterprise €1,000 paid yearly, €12,000 a year
April 2025 Team removed; Individual renamed Lite, still €15, now with unlimited transcription; Business raised from €400 to €500 a month, €6,000 a year, with €85 for each researcher past five
October 2025 to October 2026 The same prices; researchers renamed contributors, and read only stakeholders renamed viewers

The entry price was cut in half, from €30 to €15, between the 2022 and 2023 copies, and Business rose from €400 to €500 between November 2024 and April 2025. Transcription went the other way from price: 180 hours a year on the entry plan in 2022, 12 hours a month in 2023, and unlimited on every plan since 2025. The pay per project tier, sold at €50 a project from 2020, was gone by June 2023, and the Team plan at €170 went in 2025, which leaves nothing between one contributor at €15 and five at €500.

VoteFirst is a feature request board: customers post requests, vote on each other's and follow a public roadmap, at $9 a month for one project or $39 for unlimited projects and colleagues, with no count of contributors or viewers. It transcribes nothing and holds no interview recordings, which is the core of what Condens sells. Dovetail prices the closest rival research repository, Maze and Optimal Workshop price the usability tests that feed a repository like Condens, the user research shortlist compares research tools by the seat and the study, and the pricing hub groups every vendor by what it meters.

How were these prices read?

The current plans come from condens.io/pricing, read on 4 October 2026 as served, with the answers under its questions.
