Crazy Egg sells heatmaps, session recordings, A/B tests and surveys for websites, and prices them by tracked pageviews, heatmap reports and recordings a month. Every plan is billed yearly. Starter is $29 a month for 5,000 tracked pageviews, Plus is $99 for 150,000, Pro is $249 for 500,000 and Enterprise is $599 for a million. Domains and team members are unlimited on all four, and there is no overage charge: tracking pauses at the limit.
Every current figure here was read on crazyegg.com/pricing on 4 October 2026, and every older one on the Internet Archive's copies of the same page.
What does Crazy Egg cost?
| Starter | Plus | Pro | Enterprise | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A month, billed yearly | $29 | $99 | $249 | $599 |
| A year | $348 | $1,188 | $2,988 | $7,188 |
| Tracked pageviews a month | 5,000 | 150,000 | 500,000 | 1,000,000 |
| Heatmap reports | 5 | 75 | 100 | 200 |
| Recordings a month | 50 | 1,000 | 5,000 | 10,000 |
| Recordings kept | 6 months | 2 years | 2 years | 2 years |
| A/B tests, CTAs and error tracking | Not listed | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
Every plan includes web analytics, conversion tracking and funnels, unlimited surveys and responses, and AI analysis of heatmaps and recordings. Pro adds A/B test targeting by country, UTM and conversion, and exports of heatmaps and recordings to AI tools. Enterprise targets tests by every audience segment and adds SAML single sign on. The page shows no monthly billing option; the line under the plans reads "All plans are billed annually."
What happens at the monthly limit?
Nothing is charged. The FAQ says Crazy Egg never bills overages: when a month's tracking limit is reached, data collection pauses and starts again on the first of the next month. A plan can be upgraded at any time, and extra heatmap reports or recordings are sold as add ons through sales, with no price printed. Upgrades take effect at once and are prorated, and downgrades start at the next billing cycle.
| Pageviews a month | Plan that fits | A month, billed yearly | Per 1,000 pageviews |
|---|---|---|---|
| Up to 5,000 | Starter | $29 | $5.80 |
| Up to 150,000 | Plus | $99 | $0.66 |
| Up to 500,000 | Pro | $249 | $0.50 |
| Up to 1,000,000 | Enterprise | $599 | $0.60 |
The step from Starter to Plus is the steep one: a site that tracks 6,000 pageviews a month has outgrown Starter and pays $99, more than three times as much, for thirty times the allowance.
Is there a free plan or a trial?
Both. Every plan starts with a 30 day free trial, and the page says it can be cancelled at any time. The FAQ also describes a Free plan that needs no credit card and covers web analytics, instant heatmaps, conversion analytics and website surveys, though it has no card in the plan grid. The current page lists no refund terms. Nonprofits and schools can ask sales for a discount, and agencies are offered shorter terms and free pilots for early clients.
How has Crazy Egg's price changed?
| Archive copy | Plans and prices a month |
|---|---|
| May 2011 | Basic $9 for 10,000 visits and 10 active pages; Standard $19 for 25,000 and 20; Plus $49 for 100,000 and 50; Pro $99 for 250,000 and 100; a 30 day money back guarantee |
| May 2013 | The same four plans and prices, now billed yearly; a refund promised if conversions or revenue did not rise within 30 days |
| September 2015 to September 2017 | The same four plans and prices, billed yearly, with the first 30 days free |
| June 2019 | Pageviews and recordings replace visits: Basic $24 for 30,000 pageviews and 100 recordings; Standard $49 for 75,000 and 500; Plus $99 for 150,000 and 1,000; Pro $249 for 500,000 and 5,000; all billed yearly |
| June 2021 | The same prices, with unlimited websites on every plan |
| June 2023 | Basic up to $29 for the same 30,000 pageviews; Standard, Plus and Pro unchanged; unlimited surveys added |
| June 2025 | Basic and Standard replaced by Starter at $29 for 5,000 pageviews and 50 recordings; Plus $99 and Pro $249 unchanged; Enterprise $499 for a million pageviews |
| October 2026 | Enterprise up to $599; the other three unchanged |
The middle of Crazy Egg's price list has not moved since 2019: Plus at $99 a month and Pro at $249. The change has come at the bottom. In 2023, $29 a month bought 30,000 tracked pageviews and 100 recordings; since 2025 the same $29 buys 5,000 pageviews and 50 recordings, a sixth of the traffic. The $49 Standard plan in between is gone, so the cheapest step above Starter is now $99.
Does Crazy Egg run a feature voting board?
Its pricing page and footer link no roadmap or board where customers post requests and vote on each other's. Its surveys collect feedback from a site's own visitors rather than requests about Crazy Egg itself.
What this costs

Fourteen day trial of Pro, card asked for at signup. Nothing here counts the people who vote, so the bill does not move when the board starts working. The long version, with what happens if you stop paying.
VoteFirst is a feature request board: customers post requests, vote and follow a public roadmap, at $9 a month for one project or $39 for unlimited projects and colleagues. It draws no heatmaps, records no sessions and runs no A/B tests, which is what Crazy Egg sells. Hotjar, Mouseflow and Lucky Orange price their own heatmap and recording tools, the session replay shortlist compares seven replay tools by the session, and the pricing hub groups every vendor by what it meters.
