Lookback runs moderated and unmoderated usability sessions, interviews and a recruiting panel, with an AI assistant called Eureka for analysis. It has three self serve plans, all billed once a year with no monthly option. Freelance is $299 a year for 10 sessions. Team is $1,782 a year for 100 sessions and 10 collaborators. Insights Hub is $4,122 a year for 300 sessions and 30 collaborators. Enterprise is priced after a demo. Every plan bundles a small number of panel participant recruitment fees, and more sessions or participants cost extra on top.
Every current figure here was read on lookback.com/pricing on 4 October 2026, and every older one on the Internet Archive's copies of the same page.
What does Lookback cost?
| Freelance | Team | Insights Hub | Enterprise | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Billed annually | $299 a year | $1,782 a year | $4,122 a year | Custom |
| Sessions a year | 10 | 100 | 300 | Unlimited |

| Panel participants included | 1 | 10 | 30 | Custom allocation |

| Collaborators | Solo seat | 10 | 30 | Custom |
A session is one recorded interaction with a participant, moderated or unmoderated, and the page counts both kinds against the same yearly limit. Guests who only watch or comment are unlimited on every plan and take no seat. Every plan carries what the page calls all core features: every research method, stakeholder interviews, the integrated recording player, Eureka's AI assisted analysis, tagged Findings and Reels, and unlimited stored recordings, though exporting a session needs a paid plan. Team adds Security Self-Assess and chat support; Insights Hub adds a fuller Security Assessment Assist and priority chat support; Enterprise adds a full security review, custom legal terms, single sign on, invoicing and purchase orders, team training, audits and a dedicated account manager with a logged in observer seat type.
Recruiting your own participants costs nothing beyond the plan. Lookback's own panel, run through User Interviews, bills separately for every participant past what a plan includes, and a 6 percent incentive management fee applies whenever participant incentives are paid out through Lookback rather than directly. Extra sessions and participants are sold ten at a time at the least, never singly. Sessions left unused expire at the end of the contract term.
Is there a free plan or a trial?
The pricing page offers a trial, not a free plan: "Get 5 sessions for free, 60 days of access, and all core features (except exports)." The page states no credit card is required to start. There is no free ongoing plan; Freelance is the cheapest paid tier.
The page states plainly that Lookback sells no monthly plan: "Lookback only offers plans with annual commitments." Its answer points customers with occasional research to Freelance, bought project by project. Canceling a paid subscription keeps recordings on the account for 90 days before deletion, and a trial that is never upgraded keeps them for 30 days.
How has Lookback's price changed?
| Archive copy | Plans and prices a year |
|---|---|
| November 2021 | Team at $99 a month billed annually for 100 sessions; Insights Hub at $229 a month for 300 sessions; no Freelance plan; 14 day trial |
| September 2022 to October 2024 | Freelance added at $25 a month for 10 sessions, up to $99 for 40; Team from $149 a month for 100 sessions to $224 for 150; Insights Hub from $344 for 300 to $573 for 500; 60 day trial |
| August 2025 | Freelance $299 a year for 10 sessions; Team $1,782 a year for 100 moderated sessions plus unlimited unmoderated; Insights Hub $4,122 a year for 300 moderated sessions plus unlimited unmoderated; Enterprise listed from $18,150 a year |
| July 2026 to October 2026 | Same Freelance, Team and Insights Hub prices, with moderated and unmoderated sessions now counted together under one yearly limit; Enterprise no longer prints a starting figure |
The big rise came in 2022, when Team went from $99 a month billed annually to $149 and Insights Hub from $229 to $344, each for the same sessions. Since then the prices have barely moved. Between October 2024 and August 2025 the page switched from a monthly figure billed annually to a yearly total, and the totals land within $6 of the old figures times twelve: Freelance $300 then and $299 now, Team $1,788 and $1,782, Insights Hub $4,128 and $4,122. Enterprise briefly printed a starting price of $18,150 a year in 2025 and has since gone back to a plain custom quote.
Does Lookback run a feature voting board?
Lookback's navigation and footer link no public board where customers post feature requests or vote on each other's, and no public roadmap; the footer's "What's New" page is a changelog, not a request queue. Its pricing page prices usability sessions and interviews, which collect research findings from participants rather than feature requests from customers.
What this costs

Pro

Fourteen day trial of Pro, card asked for at signup. Nothing here counts the people who vote, so the bill does not move when the board starts working. The long version, with what happens if you stop paying.
VoteFirst is a feature request board: customers post requests, vote on each other's and follow a public roadmap, at $9 a month for one project or $39 for unlimited projects and colleagues, with no count of sessions or participants. It runs no usability tests, interviews or recruiting panel. Lookback's panel access to vetted participants, at a price past what any plan includes, is a real research tool VoteFirst does not try to be. Lyssna and Optimal Workshop price similar research by the study, Maze has stopped printing a paid price, the user research shortlist compares them all by the seat and the study, and the pricing hub groups every vendor by what it meters.
