Userbrain pricing, by the tester

Userbrain is a remote usability testing service. It recruits testers from its own panel, or lets a team invite its own users, and returns a screen and audio recording of each session. It has four plans. Starter and Plus are billed a month at a time. Flex is billed once a year and lets a buyer choose how many testers it includes. Enterprise prints no number and asks for a conversation.

Userbrain's pricing page prints different numbers depending on how it is read. Fetched plain with curl, the served page lists Starter at $49 a month, Plus at $249 a month, and Flex at $1,100 a year for 30 testers. Rendered in a browser from the Czech Republic, the same address prints Starter at €45 a month, Plus at €219 a month, and Flex at €990 a year for 30 testers. Enterprise prints no price in either view.

A test setup is, in the page's words, a set of tasks and questions run with multiple testers. Every plan lists sessions with a team's own invited participants separately from panel testers: 3 a month on Starter, 10 a month on Plus, 100 a year on Flex, and custom on Enterprise. All four plans list choosing testers by country, age, gender, language and device, screening questions, a satisfaction guarantee that swaps an unhappy tester at no cost, unlimited guest viewers and two factor authentication. Enterprise adds, in the page's words, everything in Flex plus an account manager, custom security reviews and custom data processing agreements.

What does Flex cost as the tester count grows?

Testers a year Price rendered from the Czech Republic
30 (the default) €990
50 €1,600
100 €3,000
200 €5,700
300 €8,000

Flex's tester count sits behind a dropdown labeled "Change" next to the plan's price; the number and the price both move together. The served HTML prints only the default, 30 testers at $1,100 a year; the other four counts and their prices load only once the control is opened in a browser.

Is there a free plan or a trial?

The pricing page lists no free plan. Starter, Plus and Flex each carry a free trial button, and the line above the plans says the trial needs no credit card; Enterprise shows a "Contact us" button instead. The FAQ says the trial gives 30 days of access to all of Flex's features plus 2 panel testers, asks for no card, and says that testers left unused at the end of the trial carry into a new plan's balance if a buyer subscribes before it ends. A separate answer says a subscription can be moved to a plan with a larger allowance at any time, that an upgrade starts a new billing cycle immediately with unused testers carried over, and that a downgrade takes effect at the end of the current cycle. Canceling turns off auto renewal; the plan and its remaining testers stay available until the end of the paid cycle, after which unused testers expire.

None of the archived copies before January 2026 print a currency sign; the figures above are exactly what each copy printed. The January 2026 copy is the first to print a dollar sign. The plan names read Starter, Pro and Agency in the 2023, 2024 and 2025 copies, Free, Pro and Enterprise in the January 2026 copy, and Starter, Plus, Flex and Enterprise on the live page.

Does Userbrain run a feature voting board?

No. The footer links no community, ideas or feedback site. The addresses community.userbrain.com, feedback.userbrain.com, ideas.userbrain.com and roadmap.userbrain.com all fail to resolve. The paths /ideas, /feedback and /roadmap each redirect to /en/ideas, /en/feedback and /en/roadmap, which load with a canonical tag pointing at the site's own 404 page. userbrain.canny.io returns a not found page. help.userbrain.com is a customer knowledge base of support articles, not a board where customers post requests and vote on each other's.

VoteFirst is a feature request board: customers post requests, vote on each other's and follow a public roadmap, at $9 a month for one project or $39 for unlimited projects and colleagues, with no tester count to choose. Userbrain recruits testers from its own panel who record themselves using a product, and VoteFirst does none of that; it collects and ranks what customers want built next. Userlytics prices sessions from $30 and a DIY subscription at $699 or $999 a month by seat count, UserTesting names three plans that each end at Request pricing, Lookback prices by the session from $299 a year to $4,122, the user research shortlist compares ten of these tools by what a study costs and who counts as a seat, and the pricing hub groups every vendor by what it meters.

How were these prices read?

The current plans come from www.userbrain.com/en/pricing. Fetched plain with curl on 5 October 2026, the served HTML carried the Starter, Plus and Flex prices in US dollars with no script needed to load them. The same address rendered through a headless browser on the same day, from the Czech Republic, printed the same four plans in euros, and opening Flex's tester count control in that render showed the price at each of its five tester counts. The history comes from the Internet Archive's copies of the same address taken on 3 August 2021, 29 January 2022, 23 February 2023, 23 February 2024, 14 February 2025 and 14 January 2026, each read with HTML comments stripped first.

14 days, a card at signup, then $9 or $39 a month.
