PlaybookUX pricing, by the participant

PlaybookUX is a usability testing and user interview platform. The pricing page lists two paths. Self serve signs up free and pays for the PlaybookUX panel by the participant, with an optional yearly add on called Scale or one called Pro. Enterprise is reached through a contact sales link and prints no price.

Fetched plain with curl, the served page lists self serve's panel rate at $65 a participant for an unmoderated session and $115 a participant for the first 30 minutes of a moderated one, plus $55 for each additional 30 minutes. The same markup prints Scale at $5,400 a year and Pro at $8,800 a year as the two optional add ons.

What does PlaybookUX cost?

Moderated panel session, first 30 minutes $115 a participant, plus $55 for each additional 30 minutes Custom

Self serve's perks list unmoderated testing and moderated interviews, PlaybookUX panel access to what the page calls 7 million plus consumers and professionals, paying for panel credits as used, chat support, and the 50 session a year limit. Enterprise's perks list access to every method the page names (unmoderated, moderated, card sort, tree test, surveys, first click, five second and preference testing, on computer, tablet and mobile), a participant CRM for a team's own participants, repository features, a set of features the page calls AI enabled, in product intercepts, segmentation and quotas, custom consent forms, an approval flow, a Figma integration, randomizing blocks, advanced moderated features, session replays, SSO and SAML, and a dedicated customer success manager.

Which features need an upgrade from self serve?

Feature Self serve Enterprise
Unmoderated testing and moderated interviews Included Included
Card sorting and tree testing Marked "Upgrade Available" Included
Surveys Marked "Upgrade Available" Included
Preference, first click and five second testing Marked "Upgrade Available" Included
Figma integration and click testing Marked "Upgrade Available" Included
Testing with a team's own customers Not offered Included

The Scale and Pro pills and each "Upgrade Available" mark open a comparison of the two tiers that the page builds by script. A render to open it was refused with a 403, so what Scale and Pro add beyond the figures above could not be read.

Is there a free plan or a trial?

The pricing page lists no free plan; self serve itself has no subscription fee and charges only per participant. Neither path prints trial language on the pricing page itself. The FAQ says a free trial of the plan it calls Grow is included at signup, with no credit card required, a name that does not appear anywhere else on the current page; it adds that a prospective enterprise customer can get in touch with sales for a customized trial. A separate answer says PlaybookUX does not charge by the seat and encourages inviting a whole team. Another says a team can run 50 sessions a year with the PlaybookUX panel across every method without an enterprise plan, and recommends an enterprise package beyond that volume. The FAQ also says every customer gets chat support, that enterprise customers are assigned a dedicated customer success manager for onboarding, training and regular check ins, and that there is no limit on concurrent studies or on participants in a study.

No. The pricing page and its footer link no community, ideas, feedback or roadmap page, and no public board where customers post requests and vote on each other's.

VoteFirst is a feature request board: customers post requests, vote on each other's and follow a public roadmap, at $9 a month for one project or $39 for unlimited projects and colleagues, with no per participant rate to track. PlaybookUX recruits participants from its own panel for a team to run moderated and unmoderated sessions, and VoteFirst does none of that; it collects and ranks what customers want built next. Userlytics prices sessions from $30 and a subscription at $699 or $999 a month by seat count, User Interviews charges $49 a session on its Pay As You Go plan, the user research shortlist compares ten of these tools by what a study costs and who counts as a seat, and the pricing hub groups every vendor by what it meters.

How were these prices read?

The current plans come from www.playbookux.com/pricing/, fetched plain with curl on 5 October 2026; the self serve panel rates, Scale and Pro's pill prices and the feature comparison table all sit in the served HTML with no script needed to load them. A render of the same address, attempted to open the Scale and Pro comparison modal, was refused with a 403 from CloudFront, so figures found only inside that modal's script are not used. Board addresses were checked the same day: community.playbookux.com, feedback.playbookux.com, ideas.playbookux.com and roadmap.playbookux.com all fail to resolve; /ideas, /feedback and /roadmap each return a 404; playbookux.canny.io returns a 404; help.playbookux.com returned a 429 on two attempts, so its content could not be read. The history comes from the Internet Archive's copies of the same address, each read with HTML comments stripped first, taken on 20 July 2019, 25 September 2020, 21 April 2021, 19 January 2022, 24 February 2023 and 21 January 2026; the only archived copy from 2024 returned a 403 and no 2025 copy returned a 200. Prices are in US dollars throughout.

14 days, a card at signup, then $9 or $39 a month.
