User Interviews pricing, by the recruited session

User Interviews recruits participants for research from its own panel, with screening, scheduling and incentive distribution handled on the platform. Recruit, the part of the site this page prices, has three self serve tiers and a Custom plan. Pay As You Go charges $49 a session with no commitment. Essential bills annually for a fixed block of sessions a year, 60 of them at $41 each or 150 at $36 each. Custom starts at 250 sessions a year and prints no rate, only "Available". A separate Research Hub product, for teams running their own participant panel, lists no dollar figure at all, only a seat or contact count and a demo button.

Every current figure here was read on userinterviews.com/pricing on 5 October 2026, from the plan cards and the frequently asked questions beneath them, and every older one on the Internet Archive's copies of the same page.

What does User Interviews cost?

Pay As You Go Essential, 60 sessions Essential, 150 sessions Custom
Price a session $49 $41 $36 Available
Billing Paid per session, no commitment Billed annually, $2,460 a year Billed annually, $5,400 a year Billed annually
Sessions a year Flexible 60 150 Starts at 250
With Advanced B2B targeting $98 a session $82 a session $72 a session Custom rate
Seats Unlimited Unlimited Unlimited Unlimited

A session is, in the page's own definition, "one completed interview or task with one participant"; a session with several participants at once, such as a focus group, counts as that many sessions. Advanced B2B targeting is a checkbox on every self serve tier, and ticking it doubles the session rate shown: $49 becomes $98, $41 becomes $82 and $36 becomes $72. Essential's two session blocks sit behind tabs on the same plan card, each carrying its own discount label, "Save 17%" on 60 sessions and "Save 27%" on 150. Every subscription tier gets a library of past screener surveys and the ability to re invite past participants; Custom adds a security review, negotiable contract terms and a dedicated customer success manager. Going over a subscription's session block charges the extra sessions at the Pay As You Go rate.

What does a study of 5, 10 or 25 sessions cost?

Pay As You Go has no annual commitment, so its price scales with the study. Essential's rate only applies inside the full 60 or 150 session block paid for the year, not to a single study bought on its own.

Sessions in the study Pay As You Go Inside an Essential 60 session year Inside an Essential 150 session year
5 $245 $205 $180
10 $490 $410 $360
25 $1,225 $1,025 $900

With Advanced B2B targeting checked, every Pay As You Go figure above doubles to $98 a session, and the Essential figures move to $82 and $72 a session. None of this includes what participants are paid to take part.

What do incentives cost?

The FAQ says that "incentives are not included in the price of Pay As You Go or Recruit subscription plans." A team can fund a prepaid balance for incentives, set the amount per project, and either pay participants itself or have User Interviews distribute the payments, which adds "a 3% processing fee" to the incentive portion of the bill. Canceling a subscription at the end of its annual contract forfeits any rollover sessions; pausing instead, at renewal, costs $50 a month and keeps those sessions available once the plan restarts.

Is there a free plan or a trial?

The Recruit pricing page lists no free plan and no trial; Pay As You Go is the cheapest way in, paid per session with no subscription. Research Hub lists no self serve trial either, only a note that the company "can set up a limited trial of Research Hub" on request to its sales team. The page lists no refund terms for either product.

Pay As You Go's rate for a general audience went from $30 a session in May 2019 to $40 in 2020, $45 in October 2021 and $49 from May 2024. The way a subscription is sold moved more. In 2020 and early 2021 Essential was a monthly fee for 15 sessions a month, by October 2021 Starter and Essential were monthly fees for a block of 60 or 150 sessions a year, and from May 2024 the page quotes a rate for each session inside that yearly block. From the January 2021 copy on, B2B recruiting has cost as much again as the base session: $40 on top of $40, then $45 on top of $45, and $49 on top of $49 today.

Does User Interviews run a feature voting board?

No. The site links no public board where customers post feature requests and vote on each other's, and no public roadmap. feedback.userinterviews.com and community.userinterviews.com do not resolve, /ideas and /feedback both return a 404, and /roadmap redirects to /product-announcements, a changelog titled "Product Updates" rather than a request queue.

VoteFirst is a feature request board: customers post requests, vote on each other's and follow a public roadmap, at $9 a month for one project or $39 for unlimited projects and colleagues, with no charge for each session. User Interviews finds and pays research participants from a panel of 7.5 million people across 34 countries, on its own count, and VoteFirst does none of that; it collects and ranks what customers want built next. Lookback sells a yearly allowance of sessions, Userlytics and Lyssna sell testing plans with a set number of seats, the user research shortlist sets them side by side, and the pricing hub groups every vendor by what it meters.
