Usetiful pricing, by the assist

Usetiful built product tours, smart tips, onboarding checklists and in app surveys, and priced them in euros by the assist: one count each time a visitor starts a tour or opens a tip, so a site paid only for the people its guides actually helped. Fullstory announced on 3 November 2025 that it had acquired Usetiful, and on 4 October 2026 usetiful.com/pricing sent every visitor to that announcement instead of a price list.

Every figure here comes from the Internet Archive's copies of usetiful.com/pricing, the newest taken on 10 October 2025, three weeks before the sale.

What did Usetiful cost?

2,000, the Free plan €0 €0 €0
10,000 €92 €69 €828
20,000 €189 €139 €1,668

Free carried two team members and one space, with unlimited tours, tips, checklists, banners and websites, and Usetiful's watermark on them. Premium raised that to seven team members and two spaces, removed the watermark, and added user profiles and segments, conditional steps, a data processing agreement and a dedicated customer success manager. Enterprise added on premise hosting, SAML sign in and business SLAs.

The last copy also sold the same Premium plan by monthly active users instead of assists, as a steadier budget for products whose users all touch the guides:

Monthly active users Billed monthly Billed yearly, a month
500, the Free plan €0 €0
1,500 €86 €69
2,000 €99 €79
3,000 €124 €99
5,000 €174 €139
10,000 €249 €199
20,000 €424 €339
35,000 €461 €369

Yearly billing was 25 percent off on both meters. The page also listed steps at 2,500 and 15,000 users, at €111 and €374 a month.

Was there a free plan or a trial?

Free was a plan with no time limit, for 2,000 assists or 500 active users a month. Every paid tier had a "Try for free" button, and the last copy's headline promised a full refund to any customer who was not satisfied, without naming a period; copies from January 2021 to November 2024 put a number on it, a 30 day money back guarantee beside a 14 day trial.

How did Usetiful's price change?

Archive copy Plans and prices a month
August 2020 Free for one tour and 400 assists; Plus at €29.90 for unlimited tours and 2,000 assists, with a 14 day trial
January 2021 Free raised to 2,000 assists; Plus at €29.90 for 5,000; Premium in early access at €49, against a regular €99, for 20,000; a 30 day money back guarantee
July 2021 to January 2022 Premium at €99 for 20,000 assists; by January 2022, team members capped at one on Free, two on Plus and seven on Premium
July 2022 to January 2023 Yearly billing added, two months free: Plus at €29 or €24.16, Premium at €99 or €82.50
September 2023 to January 2024 Plus at €39 or €29 billed yearly; Premium from €92 or €69 for 10,000 assists, up to €669 or €499 for 50,000; yearly billing now 25 percent off
November 2024 Free opened to unlimited tours, checklists and websites with two team members; Plus raised to three
April 2025 A second meter, monthly active users, beside assists; Plus still listed
October 2025 Plus gone; Free, Premium and Enterprise on both meters

The entry paid price rose from €29.90 to €39 a month and then disappeared with Plus, so the cheapest paid step in the last copy was €69 a month billed yearly, more than twice the 2020 figure. What a euro bought grew in the same years: the free allowance went from 400 assists to 2,000, and from one tour to unlimited.

Does Usetiful run a feature voting board?

Usetiful guided users through a product rather than collecting their requests. Its archived pricing pages link no board where customers post requests and vote on each other's, and since November 2025 its address carries only Fullstory's announcement, which prints no price for the guides and surveys Fullstory now sells.

VoteFirst is a feature request board: customers post requests, vote on each other's and follow a public roadmap, at $9 a month for one project or $39 for unlimited projects and colleagues, sold on its own with its prices on the page. It builds no product tours or onboarding checklists, which is what Usetiful did. Product Fruits, Userflow and Chameleon price product tours on their own pages, the product tour shortlist prices eight tour tools by the active user, and the pricing hub groups every vendor by what it meters.

How were these prices read?

usetiful.com/pricing was requested on 4 October 2026 and redirected to Fullstory's announcement of the acquisition, dated 3 November 2025, which was read the same day. Every price comes from the Internet Archive's copies of usetiful.com/pricing taken on 14 August 2020, 17 January and 30 July 2021, 25 January and 19 July 2022, 27 January and 28 September 2023, 17 January and 25 November 2024, and 23 April and 10 October 2025. Prices are in euros.

14 days, a card at signup, then $9 or $39 a month.
