Survey software pricing, by the response and the seat

Ten survey tools, each read on its own pricing page by 4 October 2026. They all sell the same core job, a survey sent out and the answers analyzed, but they meter it in different ways: some count responses a month, some a year, one counts them on each survey, two set no limit at all on a paid plan, and several charge for every seat on top. The sticker prices hide most of that, so this page compares what a realistic year costs.

Every figure below links to a page that sets out where it was read, the plan details and the price history behind it.

What does the cheapest paid plan include?

Tool Plan Billed monthly Billed yearly, a month Responses Users
Zoho Survey Basic Not offered $7.42 12,000 on each survey Not stated
SurveyPlanet Pro $20 $15, as $180 a year Unlimited 1 license
Crowdsignal Premium $25 $15 Unlimited Not stated
SurveySparrow Basic $39, billed quarterly $19 2,500 a year 1
Alchemer Collaborator $55 a user $26.25 a user, as $315 a year 75,000 a year 1 to 3
Typeform Basic $39 $28 100 a month 1
SurveyMonkey Standard Monthly, or Advantage Annual $129 $39 1,000 a month, or 15,000 a year 1
Formbricks Pro $89 $74 2,000 a month Unlimited
QuestionPro Advanced Not offered $99 25,000 a year 1
LimeSurvey Basic 34 euros Not offered 1,000 a month 1

Monthly billing costs far more than the yearly price suggests on most of these. SurveyMonkey's only month to month plan is $129 for 1,000 responses a month, against $39 a month for 15,000 a year on Advantage Annual. Alchemer's Collaborator seat is $660 over a year paid monthly and $315 paid yearly. Zoho Survey and QuestionPro do not sell their cheapest paid plan monthly at all, and LimeSurvey sells its Basic only monthly, with Expert and Business only yearly.

What do 10,000 responses a year cost one person?

Billed yearly, on the cheapest plan that holds them.

Tool Plan A year
Zoho Survey Basic About $89, at $7.42 a month
SurveyPlanet Pro $180
Crowdsignal Premium $180
Alchemer Collaborator, one user $315
SurveyMonkey Advantage Annual $468
SurveySparrow Starter, at its sale price $468
Typeform Plus, 1,000 a month $663
Formbricks Pro, 2,000 a month $888
QuestionPro Advanced $1,188

The dearest is more than thirteen times the cheapest. Zoho Survey's Basic caps responses on each survey rather than across the account, so 10,000 spread over any number of surveys fits. SurveyPlanet's Pro and Crowdsignal's Premium cost the same $180 a year and put no limit on responses, so their price stays put however busy the year gets. SurveySparrow's Starter is listed at $49 a month with $39 shown as a sale price; at the listed price the year is $588. LimeSurvey, priced in euros with VAT included, is left out of this table: its Expert plan holds exactly 10,000 responses a year for 348 euros. Typeform and Formbricks count a month rather than a year, so a single busy month can push either toward the next plan even when the yearly total fits.

What does a team of five pay?

Billed yearly, for five people who all build surveys.

Tool Plan A year Responses
SurveyPlanet Pro, five licenses at $162 each $810 Unlimited
Formbricks Pro, unlimited seats $888 2,000 a month
Typeform Business, five seats included $1,083 10,000 a month
Crowdsignal Team, $29 a user a month $1,740 Unlimited
SurveyMonkey Team Advantage, $30 a user a month $1,800 50,000 a year
QuestionPro Team Edition, $83 a user a month $4,980 100,000 a year

Seats change the order again. SurveyPlanet sells Pro by the license and cuts the price of each as a team buys more, to $162 a license for two to five, which makes it the cheapest here for five people. Formbricks includes unlimited seats from Pro up, so a team of five pays what one person pays. Typeform includes five seats on Business. LimeSurvey's Business, at 900 euros a year with VAT, includes five to ten admin users and 50,000 responses a year. SurveyMonkey and QuestionPro charge for every seat, and QuestionPro's Team Edition starts at five. Alchemer's self serve plans stop at three users, and a fourth moves the account to a platform plan priced by quote. SurveySparrow's Business includes three users, and its Enterprise plan, for three or more, is priced after a demo.

Where does a feature request board fit?

A survey asks customers the questions you have already thought of. It is a poor way to collect the requests they bring on their own, because each answer sits in its own row and nobody sees that forty other customers asked for the same thing last month.

VoteFirst is a feature request board: customers post requests, vote on each other's and follow a public roadmap, at $9 a month for one project or $39 for unlimited projects and colleagues, with no count of responses or voters. It sends no surveys. The CSAT and NPS shortlist compares the one question survey tools, the form builder shortlist compares the form builders, and the pricing hub holds every vendor read so far.

How was this put together?

Each tool's figures come from its own pricing page as read for the linked page on 4 October 2026, except Zoho Survey's dollar prices, which come from the Internet Archive's copy of its pricing page from 5 May 2026 and match the live page's euro figures digit for digit. A year is twelve times the yearly billed monthly price, or the yearly total where the page prints one. Prices are in US dollars except LimeSurvey's, which its page charges in euros with VAT included.

14 days, a card at signup, then $9 or $39 a month.
