Craft.io prices the editor, and the gap between its two plans is four times

Craft.io is a product management platform rather than a feedback board. Strategy, OKRs, a backlog, prioritization, capacity planning, roadmapping, planned against actual, and a portfolio view across several products. Feedback is one module inside that.

The price list has two published rows and they are a long way apart: twenty four dollars an editor and ninety nine dollars an editor. Everything below was read on Craft.io's own pricing page on 16 September 2026.

The unit column decides your bill as the team grows. An editor price and a plan price behave completely differently at five people.

What does Craft.io cost?

Two published plans and a quoted one, in dollars, euros or pounds.

The Craft.io pricing page read 16 September 2026, Starter at twenty four dollars an editor a month, Pro at ninety nine an editor, and Enterprise quoted and billed annually
Craft.io's published prices. Read 16 September 2026.

Every plan on that page, what steps between them and what the trial asks for, is worked through on the Craft.io pricing page.

Plan Monthly per editor Yearly per editor
Starter $24 $19
Pro $99 $79
Enterprise Contact sales, billed annually Contact sales

The yearly rate takes twenty percent off both. The trial is fourteen days and asks for no card.

Pro is roughly four times Starter. That is the largest published step between two named plans anywhere in this comparison, and it is per editor, so it multiplies by your headcount as well.

What does a team of five actually pay?

Editors Starter yearly Starter monthly Pro yearly Pro monthly
1 $19 $24 $79 $99
3 $57 $72 $237 $297
5 $95 $120 $395 $495
10 $190 $240 $790 $990

Starter at five editors is ninety five dollars a month, which is a perfectly ordinary price for a product team's main tool. The same five people on Pro is nearly four hundred.

So the question to answer before you buy is which of the two plans holds the thing you actually came for, because guessing wrong costs three hundred dollars a month.

Why do people look for a Craft.io alternative?

They wanted a board, not a platform. Capacity planning and portfolio management are serious tools for a serious product organisation. If the job is a page where customers post requests and vote, none of that is the job.

The editor count. Every person who changes anything is an editor. On a team where support, design and two engineers all touch the roadmap, that is six editors before a product manager is counted.

There is no free plan. Fourteen days with no card, then twenty four dollars an editor.

The step to Pro. Four times the price for the next tier means the pricing page cannot answer the question on its own. You have to work out which plan carries what before the trial ends.

Is there a free Craft.io alternative?

Several, and the table above lists each one with the line where its free plan stops.

UserJot is free forever with two boards and unlimited users. Quackback gives one board and fifty posts. ProdCamp's free plan has two admins and unlimited feedback records. Fider is open source and free with everything on when you host it. Productroad is free until fifty people have left feedback.

There is no free plan on this product. The trial is fourteen days, it asks for a card at signup, and the bill after it is nine dollars a month for one project or thirty nine for unlimited ones.

What does Craft.io do with feedback, and what does this do?

Craft.io collects feedback into the same workspace as strategy and delivery, so a request can be traced from where it arrived to the objective it serves. That traceability is the reason a platform costs platform money, and for a company with product operations as a job title it earns its keep.

This product answers a narrower question and answers it arithmetically. Each customer tier carries a multiplier, the weight is written onto the vote at the moment it is cast, the plain count stays beside the weighted total, and the revenue comes from Stripe, Paddle or a CSV.

Nobody needs both. A team with a product operations function should buy the platform. A team of three deciding what to build next month needs the board and the number.

Which should you choose?

Craft.io Starter, if you want one workspace for strategy, roadmap and delivery and the team is small. Nineteen dollars an editor on the yearly rate is a fair price for that much product.

Craft.io Pro or Enterprise, if portfolio management across several products is the actual requirement. Nothing cheaper in this comparison does that at all.

This product, if the requirement is a public board that ranks by revenue. Nine dollars a month, no editor count, and the money behind each vote written onto the vote.
