Viima answers to HYPE Boards now, and the price list has a canyon in it

If you searched for Viima and landed on something called HYPE Boards, that is the same product under a new name. The domain is still viima.com and the pricing page is still there.

Two things about that price list matter more than the rename. It is quoted in euros, excluding VAT, and the step from the first plan to the second is more than six times. Everything below was read on their own pricing page on 16 September 2026.

Their figure is the only one in the table in euros, because it is the currency they publish in and converting it would be inventing a number.

What does Viima cost?

Two published plans and a quoted one.

The HYPE Boards plan comparison read 16 September 2026, Basic with two boards and ten users, Pro with fifteen boards and a hundred users, Advanced with unlimited boards, and additional users at seven euros a month
Their published plan comparison. Read 16 September 2026.

Every plan on that page, what steps between them and what the trial asks for, is worked through on the HYPE Boards pricing page.

Plan Price Boards Users included Extra users
Basic €79 a month 2 10 €7 a month each
Pro €499 a month 15 100 €7 a month each
Advanced Contact sales Unlimited 100 or more Contact sales

Their page states that prices exclude VAT, that the prices shown are monthly but billed annually, and that Basic is also available on a monthly contract at a slightly higher rate per user.

The trial is fourteen days of the Pro plan and asks for no card. Their questions also say that teams of fewer than ten people can keep using HYPE Boards free with limited functionality after the trial ends.

What happens between ten users and a hundred?

You pay seven euros for each one, or you jump to a plan that is more than six times the price.

People in the workspace Basic plus extras Pro
10 €79 €499
25 €79 plus 15 at €7, being €184 €499
50 €79 plus 40 at €7, being €359 €499
70 €79 plus 60 at €7, being €499 €499
100 €79 plus 90 at €7, being €709 €499

Seventy is where the two meet. Below that, buying extra users on Basic is cheaper; above it, Pro is. The two board limit on Basic is the other thing that pushes teams up, and it pushes them up long before seventy people.

Why do people look for a Viima alternative?

The user is metered and the user is a participant. In an innovation platform the people submitting ideas are inside the workspace, so the meter counts exactly the people you were trying to encourage.

Two boards on the entry plan. One board per department or per challenge is the normal pattern, and two runs out in the first quarter.

It is not a customer facing product. Innovation challenges, gamification and idea evaluations are built for employees. A public page where customers post feature requests is a different product with a different audience.

The rename. A product answering to a new name always sends some people looking at what else exists, whatever else is true about it.

The public feedback board, each request showing its title, vote count and status, with the newest at the top
The public board, the first thing a customer sees.

Is there a free Viima alternative?

Their own free tier is one, for teams under ten people with limited functionality, and the table above has the rest.

UserJot is free forever with two boards and unlimited users. Quackback's free plan carries one board and fifty posts. Ideanote's free plan takes ten users and two hundred and fifty ideas with no card. Fider is free and open source when you run it yourself.

There is no free plan on this product. The trial is fourteen days, it asks for a card at signup, and the bill after it is nine dollars a month for one project or thirty nine for unlimited ones, with nobody metered on either.

What does each one do with an idea once it has votes?

Viima evaluates. Their plans list unlimited idea evaluations on every tier, workflow automations on the paid ones, and custom fields for scoring, so a committee can score ideas against criteria you define and move them through a process.

This product weighs instead of scores. Each customer tier carries a multiplier, the weight is stamped onto the vote at the moment it is cast rather than recalculated later, and the plain vote count stays beside the weighted total so the ordering can be checked. The revenue comes from Stripe, Paddle or a CSV.

Scoring is right when the people with the information are inside your company. Weighing is right when they are outside it and paying you.

Which should you choose?

Viima, now HYPE Boards, if the ideas come from your own staff and a process has to run on them. The evaluation and workflow layer is the reason to buy it, and the free tier under ten people is a real way to start.

Viima Pro, if the programme crosses seventy people or needs more than two boards. Below that, buying extra users on Basic is the cheaper route.

This product, if the ideas come from customers. Nine dollars a month, unlimited people on the public board, and the revenue behind each vote already on it.
