Ideanote is the cheapest per head price in this whole comparison and it is not really competing with most of the table. It is an idea management platform: innovation challenges, crowdsourcing, employee ideas, ideas inside Microsoft Teams, an ROI calculator for the programme.
If you arrived here looking for a place where customers post feature requests and vote on them, the six dollar figure is doing something different from what you assume. Everything below was read on their own pricing page on 16 September 2026.

What does Ideanote cost?
A free plan, one published paid plan and an enterprise tier with a floor on it.
| Plan | Price | Users | Ideas | Idea collections | Teams |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Up to 10 | 250 | 5 | 1 |
| Scale, yearly | $6 per user per month | Up to 50 | Unlimited | 15 | 10 |
| Scale, monthly | $7 per user per month | Up to 50 | Unlimited | 15 | 10 |
| Ultimate | From $899 a month for 100 users | Custom | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
The free plan asks for no credit card. Admins count towards the user limit, which their page states directly. Automation runs and AI credits are metered separately: a hundred of each a month on Free, five hundred of each on Scale.
Six dollars per user, but how many users?
Up to fifty, because that is where the Scale plan stops. Ten people is sixty dollars a month and fifty is three hundred, so what six dollars a head costs you depends entirely on what the programme is.
| Who is in the workspace | Scale, yearly rate | This product, Lite |
|---|---|---|
| 10 people | $60/mo | $9/mo |
| 50 people, the plan cap | $300/mo | $9/mo |
| 100 people | Ultimate, from $899/mo | $9/mo |
Scale stops at fifty users. Past that the published route is Ultimate, which starts at eight hundred and ninety nine dollars a month for a hundred. So six dollars a head is the price of a pilot, and a company wide innovation programme is a four figure monthly number.
For an internal programme that is a normal shape and probably the right one. For a customer facing board it is the wrong shape entirely, because the people you most want posting are the ones you would be paying for.
Why do people look for an Ideanote alternative?
They need a public board. An idea workspace is a place people sign in to. A feature request board is a page anybody can open, read and vote on without an account existing first.
Fifty users is a real cap. Not a soft one. The next plan up is a quoted enterprise contract with a published floor of eight hundred and ninety nine dollars.
AI credits and automation runs are their own meters. Five hundred each a month on Scale, and a credit is consumed by an ordinary action like generating an idea.
The vocabulary is wrong for a product team. Idea collections, challenges, engagement and programme ROI are the language of internal innovation. Roadmaps, statuses and changelogs are the language of shipping software.
Is there a free Ideanote alternative?
Their own free plan is one of the better ones in this comparison: ten users, two hundred and fifty ideas, all the core features, no card.
Beside it, UserJot is free forever with two boards and unlimited users. Quackback gives one board and fifty posts. Fider is free and open source if you host it yourself. ProdCamp's free plan carries two admins with unlimited feedback records.
There is no free plan on this product. The trial is fourteen days, it asks for a card at signup, and the bill after it is nine dollars a month for one project or thirty nine for unlimited ones, with nobody metered on either.
Can Ideanote do customer feedback?
Their own site lists feedback management as a solution, so the honest answer is yes, it can hold customer feedback. Whether it should is a different question.
The difficulty is the meter. A customer feedback programme succeeds when a lot of customers take part, and here every participant in the workspace is inside a user cap that is priced. Every tool built for customer requests, this one included, makes the opposite choice and lets the public side be unlimited.
The second difficulty is what happens after the votes are in. Ideanote scores ideas so a committee can pick. This product weights each vote by the revenue behind the customer who cast it, reads that revenue from Stripe, Paddle or a CSV, stamps the weight at the moment of the vote, and shows the plain count next to the weighted one. Nothing needs scoring by hand and nothing needs a meeting.
Does Ideanote have a public roadmap and single sign on?
No public roadmap, and single sign on only on the top tier. Ideanote's own features page lists shareable links to workspaces and a trophy room for completed ideas, both built for people already inside the organization rather than a page a customer opens without an account. Single sign on, SAML, Azure AD and OpenID Connect, appears only on Ultimate, the plan that also starts at eight hundred and ninety nine dollars a month.
Ours publishes a public roadmap with a Denied column on every plan, and signs a voter in with a token from your own application on the thirty nine dollar plan rather than with SAML.
Which should you choose?
Ideanote, if the ideas are coming from your own staff. It is built for exactly that, the free plan takes a team of ten with no card, and six dollars a head for a pilot of fifty is a fair price for a programme of that kind.
Ideanote Ultimate, if the programme is company wide and needs SSO, an audit log and an uptime guarantee. That is a quoted contract from eight hundred and ninety nine dollars a month.
This product, if the ideas are coming from customers. Nine dollars a month, unlimited people on the public board, and the revenue behind every vote already written onto it.
