The most useful thing on this page is a correction. FeedBear does not have a free plan, and a lot of what is written about it says otherwise.
If you arrived expecting to open a free board, that is the thing to know before you spend an afternoon on it. Everything else here is the ordinary comparison.
What are the alternatives to FeedBear?
FeedBear has no free plan and bills per project, with one team member and one board on the entry plan. Below is everything else in this market, and the two columns that decide the bill two years from now are the unit and the free tier rather than the headline.

Does FeedBear have a free plan?
The same two products, line by line
Read on each vendor's own pages on the date in the row above. Not published means nobody could read it on the pages opened that day, never that the feature is absent.
No. There are four paid tiers and a fourteen day trial, and no permanent free option at any level.
We checked this twice because our own archived data had it recorded wrongly, which is presumably where some of the confusion elsewhere comes from too. Their pricing page lists four paid plans and nothing else, and all four are written out on our FeedBear pricing page.
None of the above is hard to verify, because the trial is 14 days and the price after it is $9 or $39 a month.

What does FeedBear cost?
Lite is 19 dollars a month, or $15 billed yearly. Startup is $49, or $40 yearly. Business is $99, or $82 yearly. Enterprise is $299, or $249 yearly.
Every one of those prices is for one project. That is the number that decides whether this is cheap or expensive for you, and it is easy to read past.
What does FeedBear cost for two products?
Double, because the unit is the project.
Two products on Lite is 38 dollars a month, or $30 billed yearly. There is no bundle and no second project discount published anywhere on their pricing page.
On VoteFirst a second project moves you to PRO at thirty nine dollars a month, and PRO then covers more projects rather than charging again for each one. Below two products that difference does not exist. At two it is roughly a wash. Above two it starts to matter.
What is the first thing you run out of?
The second person. Lite includes one team member and one board.
Startup raises that to three team members and Business to ten. So like most tools in this category, the wall you hit first is usually a colleague rather than a usage limit.
Their Lite plan is otherwise generous, with unlimited ideas and unlimited users, plus the roadmap, the changelog, private ideas, custom branding, custom statuses, a website widget, and custom CSS and HTML if you want to touch the markup.
Can people vote without an account?
By default they need an identity, and anonymous voting is something you turn on.
Their own wording offers a choice between single sign on, social accounts, or enabling anonymous voting. So the capability is there and it is not the default.
On VoteFirst it is the other way round. An anonymous cookie is set on every public page load and voting is open from that moment, with no configuration. That is a genuine difference in default rather than in capability, and defaults are what most boards actually run on.
Does FeedBear weight votes by revenue?
No. Nothing on their site or their help centre mentions vote weight, monthly revenue or customer tiers.
As on every page here, that is a statement about their product and not a claim that we are alone. Eight of the thirty two tools we checked ship some form of revenue weighting, and we say so on each of these pages because it is true and because you will find out anyway.

Does FeedBear have an API?
They publish no REST API documentation. Their integrations page lists Intercom, Slack, Trello, Jira, Zapier and webhooks, and nothing else.
The precise version matters here. An API key clearly exists, because their single sign on documentation describes signing a token with it.
What does not exist is a public, documented REST API you could build against. Saying they have no API at all would be a claim about the inside of somebody else's product that we cannot make.
Ours is on the PRO plan and it is documented.
Is FeedBear still being developed?
Yes, after a quiet stretch. Their footer carries a copyright from 2024, which reads as abandoned and is misleading.
Their own changelog carries an entry from about a month before this page was written, covering idea counts and bulk moderation, and a second from the same period announcing a server for the Model Context Protocol.
The entries before those jump back roughly two years. So the honest description is a product that went quiet and restarted, not one that stopped.
Does FeedBear have a public roadmap and single sign on?
FeedBear's own words are build a public roadmap, and it is part of the same product. FeedBear puts single sign on on Business.
Ours publishes a public roadmap with a Denied column on every plan, and signs a voter in with a token from your own application on the thirty nine dollar plan rather than with SAML.
Is there a free FeedBear alternative?
Yes, several, and none of them is FeedBear. Fider is the free one to know about, because it is open source and its hosted tier runs to two hundred and fifty feedback items.
UserJot gives two boards and three admin roles, Supahub gives one board and one admin, Featurebase gives one seat, and Sleekplan's Indie tier is a single admin workspace that does not expire.
All five were read on their own pages on 14 September 2026. This product is not one of them. There is no free plan here, only a fourteen day trial that asks for a card at signup.
Is FeedBear worth it, and when is it the better answer?
If you want the board to write for you, they have that and we do not. Their Lite plan includes generated comments and replies, and generated changelog posts.
We do not ship any of that, and it is a decision rather than a backlog item. We are not building it. If drafting is the thing that would actually save you time each week, that is a real reason to choose them and we are not going to argue you out of it.
If you want to touch the CSS and the markup of your board, they let you at both from the cheapest plan.
What moving actually involves
More work than a button, and the honest version is short. There is no importer for requests or votes on our side.
Voters and the revenue behind them come in from a CSV or from a billing connection, which is the part the weighting needs. The requests themselves are rebuilt by hand or by a script against the API, and the vote counts start again.
That is a real cost and it is worth naming before anybody moves. The five steps, with the endpoint each one uses, are written out in full, and they are the same five whatever you are leaving.
What ours costs
Nine dollars a month on LITE, one project, weighted voting included. Thirty nine on PRO, which adds more projects, the API and a custom domain.
There is a fourteen day trial on whichever plan you pick, and a card is required to start it.
The shape of the difference is this. Below the second product and the second colleague, we are ten dollars a month cheaper and we weight votes. Above it, you are choosing between their drafting features and our weighting, and that is a question about what you actually do on a Monday rather than about price.
