Most products in this category sell a feedback board. Quackback sells a support inbox, a feedback board, a help centre, a changelog and a status page under one subscription, and the pitch on their pricing page is one subscription instead of five.
The second unusual thing is that the software is AGPL licensed, so the self hosted route costs nothing in software or seat fees. Everything below was read on their own pricing page on 16 September 2026.

Where a vendor publishes nothing we say so rather than estimating, and the unit column is the one that decides your bill as the board fills up.
What does Quackback cost?
Four plans, and the first one is genuinely free.
| Plan | Monthly | Billed yearly | Seats included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 1 |
| Pro | $29 | $348 | 5 |
| Business | $59 | $708 | 20 |
| Enterprise | $99 | $1,188 | Unlimited |
The free plan carries one board, fifty posts, voting, the roadmap and the changelog, a help centre in one language, a status page with three components, custom branding and unlimited customers and conversations. That is more product for nothing than most of this category offers.
Portal users are free on every plan and there are no seat minimums. The meter is the seat, meaning somebody on your side who answers, and the people who post and vote are never counted.
The trial on each paid plan is fourteen days with no card.
What does the self hosted route actually cost?
Nothing in software or seat fees, under AGPL-3.0, with infrastructure and your own AI provider on you.
That puts Quackback in a very small group. Fider is the other open source product in the table above, and Astuto is a third. The difference is that Quackback also sells a managed cloud version of the same thing, so the decision is hosting rather than product.
An AGPL licence has a condition worth reading before you commit to modifying it. If you change the code and offer it to others over a network, the licence asks you to publish those changes. For a team running the stock version internally that is a non issue, and for a team planning to fork it heavily it is the whole issue.
Why do people look for a Quackback alternative?
They only wanted the board. Five products in one subscription is excellent value when you need five. When the job is a place for customers to post requests and vote on them, four of the five are surface area you will never open, and a focused product at nine dollars does the one thing.
Moderation and private boards start at fifty nine dollars. If the board has to be checked before posts appear, that is the Business plan rather than the twenty nine dollar one.
The seat count. Five seats on Pro is fine for a small team and the jump to twenty is a fifty nine dollar plan. There is nothing between five and twenty.
Is there a free Quackback alternative?
Their own free plan is the strongest free tier in this comparison, so the honest answer is that Quackback is one of the free alternatives other people are looking for.
Beside it, UserJot is free forever with two boards and unlimited users, Fider is free and open source if you host it, and Productroad is free until fifty people have left feedback.
There is no free plan on this product. The trial is fourteen days, it asks for a card at signup, and the bill after it is nine dollars a month for one project or thirty nine for unlimited ones, with nothing metered on either.
What is actually different between them and us?
Quackback and this product agree on the thing that matters most about pricing. Neither of them charges for the people who use your board. Their seat is your team, and our plan is your projects, and in both cases a busy board costs the same as a quiet one.
The disagreement is about what happens to a vote after it is cast. Quackback sorts by demand, with AI sentiment and demand signals on the paid plans. This product weights every vote by the revenue behind the customer who cast it, writes that weight onto the vote at the moment it happens, and shows the plain count next to it so the arithmetic is checkable.
If your customers all pay you the same, that difference is worth nothing and Quackback is a wider product for the money. If one customer pays you forty times what another does, it is the only difference that matters.
Which should you choose?
Quackback, if you need a support inbox and a help centre as well as a board. One subscription instead of five is a real saving and their free tier is the most generous here.
Quackback self hosted, if you have somewhere to run it and want to own the data. The licence is AGPL and the software fee is zero.
This product, if the board is the job and the votes need sorting by what the voters pay. Nine dollars a month, one project, weighted voting included.

Fourteen day trial of Pro, card asked for at signup. Nothing here counts the people who vote, so the bill does not move when the board starts working. The long version, with what happens if you stop paying.
